Well now we've got the information "straight from the horse's mouth", so to speak. I assumed they would release it between June and August like they did with the other 4, so it looks like that may indeed happen now.

 

In regard to the tour though... if they leave a longer gap between the release and the start of the tour, I wonder if that means they're not going to do two rounds like they did before? You know, the arena gigs in fall/winter and the "shed" gigs in the spring/summer? I'd hate to make group plans assuming they'll do the shed gig again, and then it turns out they won't do it (then I should have done the group plans for the arena, but at that point it would be too late to change the plans). :\

I'd just like to say that I met Chris, Guy and later Phil again today and chatted to them for a while. Chris and Guy signed a couple of things for me and it was just fantastic!

 

But, their ain't gonna be a release for Christmas now that is for sure. Chris said that although they are close to finishing lots of songs, they have not actually finished anything at all yet :o ... (even wedding bells!!!) and he said there'd be no chance of the album coming out for Christmas.

 

Phil said the same, and that even if they were finished by now, there would not be enough time for EMI to sort all of the "fiddly bits" which need to be sorted, in time.

FYI I just met Jonny too, I gave him a birthday card, and so did my friend... and I gave him something which my friend and fellow huge coldplay-fan (bigger than me probably, but I never said that! :o ) gave me ... it was a letter and 3 photographs of her family holding a sign for jonny saying happy birthday from a gig last year at this time. And he talked to us just for maybe 5-6 minutes, and I actually wished him happy birthday from everyone here at coldplaying (hope it wasn't like "not my place" to do that or whatever) and he liked that too, very much! :)

 

All in all, another life-changing day for me. Time for a siggy and actually avi change imo...
