i can get the effect played by the electric guitar.distortion is noisy..

i ve a marshall amp...

it has

OVERDRIVE

DELAY

CHORUS

REVERB

FLANGER

...

I VE ASLO GOT A ZOOM 707II EFFECTS PROCESSOR..I WOULD PREFERABLY USE THE AMP..HOW DO I GET THAT SOUND?

PLZZZZ....

check your keyboard, i guess your caps just got screwed while posting , haha ;)

simply use an delay. delay time is the speed of yellow (or half the tempo you strike the notes on guitar)

and as distortion... well, try it with 2/3 of gain...

HOWEVER:

i'd use the zoom for delay, i don't think you can set up the delay time on your amp,. can't you?

i just use delay, along with the right amp settings

Hi!

Would you know roughly what milliseconds of delay is needed for Yellow? I have a Boss DD7 and I can use the tap tempo but if I had the delay time in millseconds (roughly) I could set that too, and then we would be playing!

Thanks

To make it aggressive I use a compressor (Boss CS-3) and 'squish' the signal. This means I can actually turn the Gain down on the Drive Channel to about 1 or below even. This creates a lot of humming noise though, it really 'drives' the amp. I would have the Effect Level anything from 3/4 to Full, but it tidies up the sound. Better to have a slightly cleaner sound than an over-overdriven sound.

Any tips on using a Flanger for the Lead Parts in 'Don't Panic'. I know Johnny used a MXR Phaser 90. I have a Boss BF-3 and I can kinda get something simillar of a sound. Any tips for settings would be great - i.e. 'Rate' 'Depth' etc.

Thanks
