I can see the connections with Jesus and Viva La Vida even though I'm pretty certain that it ain't about him! Loosely based on King Louis as the fall from grace and of course the epic Liberty Leading The People, depicting the French revolution as the cover of the album as the clue. 'Revolutionaries wait for my head on a silver plate' probably depicting Louis's execution.

I think what people think songs are about is their opinion, everyone has their own opinions :)

For my 1000th post I state that Strawberry Swing is one of the must unique Coldplay songs and that took me a whole year to realize. That backwards guitar is invaluable and the lyrics are equal to those of Life In Technicolor ii, phenomenal. :D
