i simply had the chance to check it well in around 2008 mainly due to our festival and through some french bands that did some collabs with other bands i like, and mostly did so to not miss all french i knew, yet i fear i make lotta mistakes when i write mostly cause i don't write it often.

some bands from there are great. :D

I really like a french singer called Aldebert, he's got a nice voice and good lyrics. He recently make an album for kids but it's really good and I saw him playing songs from this album last week, surronded by hundreds of childrens and it was still great.

aldebert sounds catchy.

 

he remind me to a french singer-songwriter that my french teacher took us to attend at uni venue, name was something vincent i believe. teacher told us it was a kids singers or something, and indeed his songs and performance was curious, i remember a song was about canard.

I can't think about any french singer named vincent who sings for kids.

When I was 15 my music teacher taught us a song about a little rock that wanted to live in the pocket of a boy and wanted to be his friend for life or something like that. It was really ridiculous.

 

I'll search new french releases and post some of them.

It takes me so long to response. I wish I have more time to come here. But yes I'm interested in Spanish music. I don't know much about Spain and Spanish music so it will be interesting to know more. It's always interesting to listen to foreign music.

 

Oh and last week I went to a gig with a friend in Lyon. We were waiting for some friends when she told me that she knows the guy at the bar but couldn't remember from where. She was thinking that he's living in our town but when he turned to us I recognized him! It was Benjamin Biolay :lol:. As he was with some friends we didn't bother him. But it was a real surprise seeing him there (well, not that much because he is from Lyon, he even wrote a song about his city : "Lyon Presqu'île")

 

And on Tuesday it was the French music awards, "Les victoires de la musique", . He had a song nominated ("Ton Héritage") as best song of the year but didn't win.
