August 12, 201015 yr One artist I have really been enjoying this summer is Marie-Pierre Arthur. Her album is nothing short of spectacular. Another great band from Quebec is Karkwa. Patrick Watson worked with them and you can definitely hear it.
August 12, 201015 yr The song "Marie tu pleures" from Karkwa sounds really good. I'm gonna listen more from that band right now! Thanks
August 12, 201015 yr No worries. Their album was short listed for the Polaris Music Prize, a pretty big deal here in Canada!
August 14, 201015 yr I listened Karkwa since thursday and it's one of the best band singing in french that I heard for a long time. I'm surprised that they're not better known in France. I should listen more canadian music.
August 14, 201015 yr I like some québécois music, which I guess sort of counts. I like Le Vent du Nord and Ad Vielle Que Pourra. They're both traditional music, but very good. Here's one song by Le Vent du Nord which I uploaded myself. :D [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnRqUDdRXpg]YouTube- Le Gros Richard by Le Vent du Nord[/ame]
August 14, 201015 yr I love this song [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAMuNfs89yE]YouTube- Paris "Aux Champs Elysées"[/ame] and I watched La Vie En Rose recently and I love Non Je Ne Regrette Rien. Plus it was in inception and I like how the composer put it in his own work [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6Dz3-k1d9I]YouTube- Final Scene from La Vie En Rose[/ame] See here: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVkQ0C4qDvM]YouTube- Inception Music Comparison[/ame]
August 14, 201015 yr I completely agree that Aux Champs Elysées is utterly infectious. Have you heard Et Si Tu N'Existais Pas, also by Joe Dassin? I like that one too. [ame= ] [/ame]

August 18, 201015 yr Well I hope you enjoy. :) Another one I really like is the Original French Concept album for Les Misérables. I particularly love Donnez, Donnez, the early conception of the song Look Down (and I think it's called Bonjour Paris on the 1991 Paris Revival recording, but I'm not positive since I don't own this one. I'm going by Wikipedia here). Anyways, here's a video thanks to some person on Youtube. [ame= ] [/ame] Enjoy.
October 9, 201015 yr One of the best french artist EVER. I wish he'd be still alive. I love him so much ALAIN BASHUNG [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeaToYHqOfE]YouTube - Bashung - Madame rêve[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiOHAlkNZa8]YouTube - Osez Joséphine - Alain Bashung[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLhz8WELr00]YouTube - ALAIN BASHUNG-LA NUIT JE MENS[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tI0Te4oGVgs]YouTube - Vertige de l'amour / Alain Bashung[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Op1XYAE1MdA]YouTube - Alain Bashung - Résidents de la République[/ame] :heart::heart::heart::heart:

October 9, 201015 yr I dreamed about this thread last night. I also dreamed that Justin Bieber got hit by a car and then we called 911 and he died because the people who came didn't believe he was Justin Bieber because when they made him sing to prove it it came out all bad. :thinking: /pointless post
