Apparatjik ...

Featured Replies

I just saw their stuff...

Their facebook, their website...

Seems to be so cool and it seems to be a really "strong" project...

Have you guys thought that Guy could leave Coldplay if Apparatjik works???

:S... I love Coldplay and they're my favorite band ever.... but I dont know... I was just wondering what can happen :S....

Does anyone of you have though the same???

I'll admit that I have thought of the possibility of Guy leaving Coldplay for Apparatjik.

in short; no.

Yeah, he could get bored of coldplay... or stay in it for the money

As an Apparatchick, I can say to you that NO, Guy will not leave CP! Apparatjik is a 'recreation' for each of its members (except maybe for Mags). It's a project where there are free to experiment and have no 'pressure' in term of sale, audience etc...

Plus, they won't probably do any gigs (considering 1- their shyness and all the mystery they have create around this thing and 2-it will be hard to recreate on stage all the technical sound....).

So this project is not taking too much time. They create the album in about 2 weeks of vacation at Mags' house...

Now if you want more info on the band/project etc... CHeck out the Apparatjik thread in the music section or the Apparatchick.com fansite ^^

Never say never on the live performances but I do understand it would be difficult. Considering Electric Eye is such a complex song, I haven't head any others but I have heard Ferreting is very Coldplay...

And the mystery is all part of building up the hype through buzz (viral) marketing over the internet. Once they're popular enough you'll see them come out a bit more, do interviews, etc. And once the album is out of course.

Dunno...Jonas and Mags talked a little bit of Apparatjik in ITV when asking but knowing the boys, I will see more the spider robot doing the ITV with the boys hidden and making the voice  than seeing the actual band doing it as usual....

ferreting isn't on that link. I'll try youtube.

An omission of our Apparatacle  But you have all the others songs they've created!

Guy leave Coldplay because of a side project? I seriously doubt that. In fact, I think side projects can make bands stronger. That's why there are so many 'super groups.' They provide an artistic outlet for artists apart from their main bands, so that they don't feel stifled. I think it rejuvenates them and they come back to their day jobs stronger.

Chris goes on his merry way with others, I think it's a healthy way of expressing different sides to a person.

This will probably cause Coldplay to break up and end for good.

I don't see CP breaking up before a looooong time! They're like U2: always eager to push themselves further! There are so many things they want to accomplish as a band before a hypothetic 'end of carriere'...!!!

Since the band exist: Chris, Guy and Will have all had collaborations/side project with various artist and it doesn't make the band break up. As for Apparatjik, I won't repeat what I said a little above. Does the making of Apparatjik's album change anything in Coldplay's schedule?? NO! So why would it cause its break?? That's ridiculous! Plus you're forgetting the main factor: frendship like theirs never end...espacially when its so connected with their passion:music!

THIS!

^Exactly. I sense a lot of Brian Eno's indirect influence in the goings-on here. It makes sense. To be guided through that much pure creative energy and to try to fit it all into an established band and style like Coldplay... it makes sense that at least one of them would want to siphon some of it off in a different direction.

Brian Eno  Mags is the main driven force in Apparatjik (at least, he's the one coordinating everything...) I see what you mean for the 'expérimental' thing but in the sound, not really...

But why don't all migrate to the proper Apparatjik thread ?? Here: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54894

Brian Eno doesn't have a sound so much as a philosophy. A way of working and thinking. ie. the oblique strategies.

Now spend some time on their website trying to find your way around and tell me he hasn't had an effect.

ZOMG

Guy is leaving Coldplay for Apparatjik :freak: Coldplay is no MOAR :freak:

Seriously..

Oh and Ferreting sounds nothing like Coldplay

ZOMG

I agree,it doesn't sound like Coldplay at all!

Ok, we all know that Coldplay will break up eventually. *dramatic chord*

But I seriously doubt that Apparatjik will be the end of them.

SQUEEEEEEE. Jason Mraz (or whoever is controlling his account) is spreading the word about Electric Eye on Facebook. :P

edit: oh. its because Martin produced his latest album. :)

i dont think guy would leave coldplay... it´s one of that band... if one leaves, the balance is destroyed.

apparatjik is an alternative, just that

i wouldnt like cp breaks up... NO, i cant imagine that
