oh yeah i saw beach house. they were alright. felt like the guitarist and drummer weren't needed. The drum machine was playing in every song but they still needed a drummer? eh

I got Teen Dream on vinyl today and it's diffinitely worth the $30 I paid for it. Comes with a DVD, download, colour booklet, full colour lyric sheet, and two beautiful packaged 180g LPs.

Still early to say but this is quite possibly my favorite album of 2012 so far (discounting Burial's Kindred EP).

It's very close-knit with Teen Dream as far as the direction of the music that this album takes. Usually I'm kind of against artists putting out something that sounds alike every time (most recently The Black Keys el camino = brothers?!) BUT. Teen Dream was fantastic and why mess with something good, you know?

 

It wouldn't hurt me one bit to see what direction they could take if they experiment or do something different because I think they're capable of just blowing up out of the water instead of just reminding us that Oh, look at us we're Beach House!

 

Anyway, quite enjoyable!

On the Sea is such a lovely song :love:
