Clutter!

Are you a mess?! :wreck:

I don't necessarily mean how clean you keep your house or bedroom, but more the amount of stuff you keep when you should throw out, a la 'Clutter'.

Do you tend to hold onto stuff that you don't need? Old clothes, electronics, CD cases, stuff that you'll probably never have any use or real value, but you keep it just in case it will someday come in handy.

It's pretty amazing how quickly it can start to build. Now I'm trying to not let it happen, but it's difficult on a daily or weekly basis, I don't want to throw out all my crap. But it just accumulates so quickly, it only takes a few months before you need to look at storage options.

I moved country recently and cleared out stuff that was building up for over 4 years. I couldn't believe how much crap I owned. Included several bin bags full of clothes/shoes/bedding, about 100 CD cases, another 100 DVD/VHS cases (Mainly DVDs), as well as CD/DVD holder stands which I had 4 of, a DVD player which didnt work and DVD/VHS player which didnt work, THREE printers, 2 of which didn't work, a harddrive and monitor, a small TV, an old guitar and amp which didn't work, pots, pans, cutlery and other kitchen crap, as well miscellaneous other crap like Monopoly, Subutteo, shitloads of posters wrapped up, autobiographies I'll never read, ok you get the point.

I don't like to hold on for anything too long. I mean, sure I have tons of baby clothes and a few toys still but anything I don't need I usually give to the Salvation Army. I do however have way too many stuffed animals still.

I don't like to keep anything if I don't use/need it.

I'm a pretty bad clutterer. I'll be a woman about it and 'fess up. :dead:

:stunned:That in only four years ?

I do a big clear out of junk from my room at least once a year. :nice:

I know :disappointed: But things like the DVD/CD cases/holders and DVD player/TV, I had before those 4 years. Some of the clothes probably too.

I guess I should stop storing stuff and just see what I can fit in my bedroom and keep that.

Or see what you need and keep that,

that might be better.:laugh4:

My sister always hoards stuff in our room,

she has shit she'll never use.

I have lots of clothes I haven't used in ages, and lots of old school notebooks and electronics I don't use anymore, and my room is small so there is no place to save anything else :bomb:

my room looks something like this.

it's really cluttered but everything in it's place.

most of the time the things i have are things i've found in flea markets & yard sales.

i keep all my letters, cards etc. in boxes & my clothes stuffed in my closet.

i have stuffed animal all in one corner & now that i'm going to have a baby his crib is in my room soo that takes up space too.

but anyways, what i mean is that someone could think my room is a mess but to me everything has a place.

I used to keep everything when I was younger....but now I tend to throw away too many things....esp. food haha...ok the question is not about food...just as an example..:wacky:

My room is full of clutter.

I have a ridiculous amount of shoes that have been given to me last year and I have only worn 2 pairs, both for plays because they look like the shoes elderly women wear. :nice:

So, do you wear the old lady shoes like all the time as well?

To the right of the camera there are about 600 more pages of papers on the floor. I'm not even joking.
