If they do...they might just end up getting into a tragic fight with a marker. :nice:

The Beatles: best band ever for me.

Muse: I discovered Muse here in coldplaying, I think it's the best thing i've done here, they are amazing, especially live.

Coldplay: I think this is love, I know they are not perfect but their music makes me feel good.

Three seems like such an evil number right now. :bigcry:

The Beatles: There are no words to describe their music, its just beyond brilliant

The Killers: Their lyrics are amazing, they put the weirdest things together and make them into amazing songs

Coldplay: (duhhh ) Their music has stolen my heart, they know how to put emotions into songs

I will have to check these gyus out,

I haven't heard the first two.

Song suggestions?

Which band do you want to check out?

Coldplay : Honest, unique and music full of attitude.

The Killers : It gets me going.

Snow Patrol : Honest lyrics, heartfelt and really touching music.

The first two.

The Frames you oughta listen to 'Revelate' 'Falling Slowly' and 'Fake'. Those are good starters.

DMB go for 'Grey Street' '#41' and maybe 'Ants Marching'. It takes most people longer to get into most of DMB's stuff, but it's so worth it. The Frames you'll probably love right off the bat.

let's seeeee.....

  • Explosions in the Sky
  • Godspeed You! Black Emperor > Silver Mt. Zion
  • Caspian

But to pick from different Genres:

  • Explosions in the Sky (Ambient)
  • Muse (Rock)
  • M83 (Electronica)
  • DMB (Pop/Rock) since m83 isn't a band
  • Pink Floyd (Classic Rock) since I can't ignore this ~genre

:wacky:

... obviously the Beatles deserve to be in there... but I really only like Sgt. Peppers... The beatles aren't anywhere near my favorite band... and I think they're somewhat overrated only because some of the bands I like are so underrated

Editors:first band that I've seen live

Coldplay:hottest members

Kaiser Chiefs:always moving when I hear their music

explosions in the sky are great! just started to get into M83.

I dunno but I kinda hate that title of Classic Rock, pretty general. Also I find it funny how this main Classic Rock station is now starting to play some Pearl Jam, Green Day, and Nirvana. I guess I can sorta see Nirvana, and possibly even Pearl Jam, but Green Day? gimme a break. I personally would consider to be something classic rock like 20-25 years ago.

Good reason

coldplay: like songs, lyrics, guy.

green day: makes me jump from here to there.

third place occupied for other bands: empire of the sun, simple plan, paramore, blink 182, AC/DC, foo fighters, the beatles, radiohead, etc: because it´s well worth to listen to them

Bon Jovi - the first band I ever really got into, they're really talented and even though they're not everyone's cup of tea I still love their melodies, optimistic lyrics and mindblowing live shows.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Flea is the world's best bassist, bar none. no one can match their energy and the love for life they bring out through their music. I feel privelaged to have seen them live during the recently-ended John Frusciante era, which many will say was their peak.

U2 - Bono. enough said. but also, their innovative live shows, epic sound and the overall consistency of their work.

like whom?

regina spektor - my favorite

ryan adams

carla bruni

matt costa

john mayer ♥

l'aura

elisa

jovanotti - italian singers.

edith piaf

paolo nutini

glen hansard

imogene heap

coralie clément

KT tunstall etc..

but i do really like some bands too.

like passion pit ♥ & the postal service, the beatles..

bishop allen, explosion in the sky, noah and the whale, dave matthews band & kite flying society :nice:

1.) The Doors: Because I think their music is special. Their lyrics are rather dark and often about the same topic, but they are so emotional. I love every single part of this band. 4 special and talented musicians who fit together so perfectly (when it comes to music). No other band does the things to me the Doors do to me. For me they are magic.

2.) Jefferson Airplane: I don't know why. I just love their music.

3.) hard to choose one.....maybe Arcade Fire and Coldplay and Radiohead and the Who haha...I love them.

Hmmm, let's see...

Coldplay: No words needed. I got into music because of them and their songs can change all my humors. They mean love, definitely.

Radiohead: Some people may say they're depressive, but I just can't see that. The messages beyond the songs are incredible and I just love to start triping with their music, figuring out what that certain verse or song, in general, could mean.

Keane: They appeared in my life all of a sudden. A concert changed everything: they're brilliant live, they have an incredible connection on stage. And their songs can be so bright, cheerful and happy...! :smug:
