Back on topic, though: I love MGMT! I don't think their last album didn't age well at all. I still listen to it. Kids does actually get annoying, but mostly because it's on every single teen drama, and it seems to be the only song people actually know them for.

 

The best songs on the album are the ones that aren't singles, even though the singles are the catchiest ones.

 

What do they mean they're 'dropping the irony'? What I noticed from their last album is that there are mainly two types of songs- the catchy electro-poppy ones, and the more dark, psychedelic ones. Judging by that article, it seems that they've opted for catchy electro pop. If that's true, then I'm worried.
