If you bother to check back, I didn't say anything negative about MGMT themselves.

I have nothing against them, and didn't agree with those slagging them off for the sake of it.

However, Kesha did look awful in that photo that was posted, and I have every right to voice my opinion on that.

I wasn't that one that actually posted the photo, though, so please get your facts straight before accusing people of stuff.

If people in the public eye like Kesha and Lady Gargoyle choose to dress as they do, they are going to have to accept they are likely to attract criticism. That's just the way it is.

I haven't actually heard Kesha sing, so I have no idea whether she has a decent voice or not.;)

Exactly, which is why you have to learn to accept it when people criticise something you like.

MGMT are no more above criticism than any other band or musician.

There are several people on here who continually attack and criticise Coldplay, and I don't see you calling them names.

Furthermore, if you're going to attack people merely for criticising bands, you should at least be consistent and attack everyone who does that, rather than singling out one or two people based on petty prejudices.

Fair enough, but I think most of the problems were caused by Shane overreacting and calling people names again.

He needs to learn not to be so sensitive about everything. I mean, it's not as if anyone's been insulting him personally, is it?:dozey:

 

If what people are saying about his favourite bands or singers annoys him so much, he should put them on "ignore" and the problem's solved.

I don't know what this is all about between the two (or three) of you, but I completely agree that nobody has right to tell people what they can or can't post unless it breaks board rules and Admin have an issue with it.

As long as thread creators also accept that any threads are likely to attract differing viewpoints, then there shouldn't be a problem.

It only becomes stupid when people start insulting others for having different views, which is what happened here in the case of Kesha.
