Frightened Rabbit

I know a lot of you have heard of this phenomenal band from Selkirk and their latest album is dropping next month: The Winter Of Mixed Drinks.

I highly recommend their first two albums as well.

Their live show is pure energy and the heart wrenching lyrics are so much better when you can shout them out loud with the band. ;) So here's the plan:

Get the Albums!

Sing The Greys

and The Midnight Organ Fight

Don't forget the live album

I couldn't agree more. I love these guys. They came to Melbourne two weeks ago, put on amazing intimate gig which I reviewed here. They do not get enough attention.

Bring on LP3!

Love the review! Thank you so much for sharing. I read about this gig earlier today on another blog. But I enjoy yours so much more. Scott is right! Mumford and Sons is tough to compete but hands down I'd take FR over them in a heartbeat. I have some pics from 2 past gigs I've been to. I'll try to post them later in the week. What's your fav track from FR?

All right kids, show some more love. :)

Be back later!

Got to be head rolls off!

The album is incredible, fyi. I don't mean to brag (I've had it for a few weeks now), but it really is something else.

Small European tour in April! cheery.gif

Probably gonna see them then. :awesome:

Love them so much :)

On my list to see hopefully at Glasto, lets hope they don't clash with atoms for peace

Ehm, are Atoms for Peace playing Glasto?

You should definitely see them if you can. Their live performance is really good (although some songs aren't like the studio versions at all, not that it's a bad thing) and the singer is funny. :D

And an unrelated note: Besnard Laaaakes! :wacky:

Who knows, they could be one of the TBA bands

did you catch their gig in Bristol where they played in a ship? :)

i only managed to see them do a short pre-show acoustic session at Rise before the gig that evening. was left wishing i had gotten a ticket to go to their gig...

album wise, maybe it takes a while to warm up to it, but so far i'm still preferring Midnight Organ Fight over Winter of Mixed Drinks overall.

I didn't, I'm trying to cut down my gig mileage due to the rising cost of fuel

This thread needs a little bump :whip: Anyone seeing them live? :awesome:

They're playing at a festival I'm going to in a couple of weeks, I think I'm going to see them :awesome:

I find it a little hard to get past their accents though :\

I watched their T in the park set the other day,

They're soo good. Any song recommendations?

Yes, I Would :wacky:

:P I love the accents, and you're lucky, they're supposed to be really good live.

I love the accents too, they're just a little weird in singing if you know what I mean. I just realised they'll be my first act of the festival :cheesy:

Yes, they are really good. I'm seeing them again in a few weeks. :awesome:

Poke unplugged is one of the best things I've seen this year.

I see them in three weeks! Will be my second time this year. Well excited.
