February 15, 201016 yr I know this is going to sound a little out there, but I play the clarinet and can't for the life of me find any Coldplay clarinet music! :( Any suggestions? Any skill level is fine, I'm kind of an intermediate player though. Thanks!
February 15, 201016 yr I'd like this as well, actually as I also play Clarinet! I do myself have a 'African' version of 'Clocks' which is pretty cool, but I have no idea where it is!
February 15, 201016 yr Author I'd like this as well, actually as I also play Clarinet! I do myself have a 'African' version of 'Clocks' which is pretty cool, but I have no idea where it is! That sounds pretty interesting, too bad you lost it! :) I always lose my music too. I found a few songs written for piano, but I had to use the image of it on the computer, and when I blew it up it got very blurry. When I tried it out it didn't sound quite right, but it wasn't too bad considering it was piano music. If you want some I could send you a few links. :)
February 17, 201016 yr hahah. i play the flute ! :) thats so cool that you play the clarinet and im sure you are not an intermediate player. i want to find flute music for any songs.
February 17, 201016 yr um, since there is no clarinet in any coldplay song, there's no sheets ! and why don't you just use the piano sheets?
February 17, 201016 yr ^ cause the 'conversion' of the notes isn't the same. An E on the piano isn't the same as an E on the clarinet. Well I think so, at least, correct me if I'm wrong.
February 17, 201016 yr yeah, i know, but you can still play the notes anyway! and if you really need it, transpose them yourself!
February 17, 201016 yr Yes you can play the notes, but it won't be in the right key. And well, maybe she doesn't know how to, you know.
February 17, 201016 yr i do know :D is anyone does not: see, you have a C e.g. on a piano, it'S a C, but played on a clarinet, it really sounds as Bb so all you have to do is write down the piano sheets 2 half steps higher. so play a D on a clarinet and a C on a piano and it will sound the same! btw.: you can also tune your clarinet, but sadly only even lower! are there C-clarinets? and c-horns, c-trumpets etc.?! would be possible at least!
February 17, 201016 yr there are c-clarinets....but I think buying a c-clarinet just to play Coldplay songs would be a bit erm crazy...:wacky: if you want to play the songs clarinet solo then there is probably no need to transpose the piano sheet music...depends on the song I guess
February 17, 201016 yr flute = recorder? (or do you mean a german flute = transverse flute ?) well, either way they are C-instruments, so they will sound correct with the piano sheets... @Gitarrensolo ([german]was ein name, genauso wie Blumento Pferde ;) [/german]) well, but in general having a c-clarinet would help ;) and also, you'd need to transpose it if you want to play along the song... (because a solo clarinet... well i guess you have to like the sound)
