Great job, winigwl! :nice: [sorry, I don't know your name.] I think Fleet Foxes is one of my top for this year, too, most definitely. :)

Right, right. -makes note for future references-

I also would like to say, I agree with your note about The Killers. "Hot Fuss" > "Day & Age" > "Sam's Town"

Excellent review Justin. Covered most of my favourites. Glad to see Hey Rosetta! there. It honestly makes me so happy to see so many fans on here.

DIG OUT YOUR SOUL

nuff said.

2008 is my favorite musical year of the decade as well :nice: Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, The Seldom Seen Kid and For Emma For Ever Ago (2007?) are all favorite albums of my favorite bands, all are near perfection except Viva....which is  I'm also planning on getting Fleet Foxes after hearing Your Protector :nice: kudos for great review of a great year :awesome:

What in the hell were you guys thinking by voting "Perfect Symmetry" at #4?

And yes, I CAN say "you," b/c I wasn't a member here until late February 2009. :P

Great? It's Keane's worst album. Don't get me wrong; I love Keane to bits. However, that album is defintiely sub-par compared to the other two.

Agreed, although it still has a few standout tracks that make it better than say...the Bloc Party album (which some love but I absolutely despise, and the remixed version is even worse).

Anyway, 2008 is one of my favorite years of the decade for music, and possibly my favorite overall. My favorite of this year has to be "The Seldom Seen Kid" by Elbow (not a bad track on the entire thing and could listen to it over and over). Fleet Foxes and Vampire Weekend are also wonderful, even if they aren't "Album of the Year" material in my book. And of course, there's the great mainstream efforts that don't need mentioning by this point (Coldplay, etc.).

Great lists everyone!

Well, I generally think Keane is more to my tastes than Bloc Party, anyway. And don't get me started on remixes. :dead:

What do you feel is lacking from the Fleet Foxes album? I love them.

Oh, hardly anything actually. I was simply stating how it wasn't my Album of the Year. :P But it's not an album I can repeatedly cycle through and never get sick of it, unlike Elbow.

Basically, I go through phases with Fleet Foxes, mainly when I'm in the mood for homework background music.

Ohhh, I see. That makes sense. I know practically nothing about Elbow, so I can't really refute your statement. :P

when i lost my computer i lost that sigur ros album

i completely forgot about it...

If you like, I can re-up it for you in their upload thread. :)
