Flac files in iTunes

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how I can get Flac files working in my iTunes(Mac)?

About 90% of my music is in Flac.. and It will take weeks to get change them to wav or mp3.. :uhoh:

iTunes doesn't support flac files, you're best off converting them to mp3. I think it accepts wav files but changes them to mp4/m4a, making all your converting a waste of time.

Isn't there an equivalent to Winamp? Or you could use VLC Media Player instead.

iTunes supported formats are:

MP3, AIFF, WAV, MPEG-4, AAC and Apple Lossless.

I don't like it.

Thanks! @ SueDeNimes, I use VLC for movies but iTunes is way faster with music :)

I Already had compressed about 1/4 to m4a and some wav.
