Oh no! Rebecka don't wear down your teeth! We don't want your teeth to fall out and become like this ---> :goofy:

But it's nice to know that you're celebrating this thread! Yay!

Coolio.

I think excessive brushing of your teeth can wear them down faster. :blank:

In Denmark we have this creepy old childrens song that is like "You have to brush your teeth, everytime you wash your hands" :wtf:

Haha Annika :laugh3:

You have no idea what we are talking about, do you?

Nope :disappointed:

What's a troglodyte? :inquisitive:

  • Author

A troglodyte: Caveman, a member of a primitive race or tribe of cave-dwellers or a Hermit, who lives in seclusion. (Thanks wikipedia!)

Now what's this got to do with toothpaste?

I must be a troglodyte because I'm a bit of a hermit...ahaha!

I brush 2 times a day, sometimes 3 if I've had a meal and there's meat stuck in my teeth, but I don't do a proper brush then anyway.

Brushing habitually breaks down the enamel, don't do it. But you'll probably realise that when your teeth break from biting into a banana.

What?! What can that possibly mean?

it has something to do with the last option in the poll. You get the logic.

"Sometimes I go days at a time without brushing" HOLY CRAP

I read somewhere that one could actually go without brusinhg one's teeth for up to three months without doing any permanent damage to them.

Not that this is credible, nor is it like I'd know anything about that.

/random. :anxious:

I can see that being true but it would really depend on what you eat, even some fruit has natural sugars and acids that will rot your teeth up.

Also your immune system and strength of your teeth. It's the bacteria that really eats away teeth and people with strong enamel and a good immune system don't have to worry much about cavities. My sister drinks a 2liter of Mt.Dew each day and only brushes twice and never gets them. I don't eat much sugar or even fruit and I'm in the process of having all my teeth replaced because of a weak immune system and weak enamel. Fuck genetics.

Do you really brush 6 times a day?

You probably know more about this then I do considering you're getting them replaced, but I always though brushing too much is bad for your teeth.

Yes. Funny thing is just now got back from having my teeth cleaned. I thought the same thing a long time ago, but have had several dentist including one very expensive specialist that taught at UF tell me it's not bad to brush that much. In fact the reason why my teeth are lasting as long as they do is because of that and being very careful about what I eat.
