Hurricane Juan

Featured Replies

I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. We were hit hard by Juan last night and EVERYTHING is closed today. Schools, businesses... 2 people died.. A tree landed on an ambulance carrying a patient.. and another tree fell on a van. 300,000 houses in our city lost power (including mine. My power is back on now, but 100,000 still have no power at the time of my post). I just hope no one else was hurt, 'twas a pretty scary storm. Here are some links if you wanna read 'em.

The second link is a series of satellite images.

Yeah... Jess still has no power, and there's no telling when it will come back on for her and the rest of the people who have no power :(

I heard about Isabel, but not Juan. :( Hope everything's okay. I never knew they went all the way up there to Canada! I was in Miami when hurricane Andrew and I know how much damage that can cause.

Yeah... Juan was right after Isabel (J coming right after I in the alphabet). Many trees fell and many-a windows are smased in my city. I saw on the news another one is coming toward us too :( Hurricane Kate.
