FOR THE LOVE OF GOD do not contact aliens!

Featured Replies

Well it looks like our good friend Stephen Hawking has spent the weekend watching Independenc Day, as he's warned that we shouldn't try contacting aliens because they will come in their big spaceships and consume our resources! Bastards! And here was I hoping they were going to be like those 'come in peace' ones of Close Encounters but just without the kidnapping and all.

"Don’t talk to aliens, warns Stephen Hawking" And I agree, especially if they are strangers. And NEVER accept gifts from them, even if they appear to know your name and your parents.

NEVER get in a van with an alien.

lol I don't think Stephen really thought this through. He must have watched Avatar recently. Assuming aliens figured out how to travel here, it's not like there's anything here on Earth that they couldn't get somewhere else. There are tons more natural resources in other parts of the universe, on other planets/dust clouds/asteroids/etc.

I'd like to hear his full argument though, maybe he's thinking of something I've overlooked.

Hawking is an alien trying to divert attention. DUH.

Don't worry. Children across the country are being taught this in schools now - with the obligatory Pippin the Dog video.

Yeah because all people with muscular dystrophy must be aliens.

Come to think of it, he does have an alien twang to his voice
