Hello boys and girls. I'm in charge of making the slideshow of photos and videos from my high school's band trip this year. It will be shown at our final concert, which is a week from today! So I need your help.

 

What songs should I use for the background music (something upbeat, band-trippish, fun, and not something that a bunch of people will hate me for. And NOOOO black eyed peas. I hate them.:angry:)

 

And also what program would you suggest I use for a photo slideshow? I have Windows Vista, if that helps.

I don't have any advice for what song you should use, but Windows Movie Maker is good for making slideshows.

I think a good tip is to not include way too many pictures cause it can get a bit boring to watch if the slideshow is too long :uhoh:

I never thought of movie maker! Good idea.

And is Picasa a program?

Yeah...a few years ago the girl that made the slideshow had about four songs worth of pictures and it was all pictures of her and her friends -- no one else in the band! It was terrible. :lol:

Someone might shoot me if I use a Coldplay song...but I can't really think of a fitting Coldplay song anyway. :(

Hmm I like the song Kids too! It's definitely an option.

 

I don't really know what I wanna use...something that most people will like. But nothing too generic. Because EVERY year they use the theme song from Friends. :sick:

I know a great song for slideshows :D :D :D

PowerPoint? PowerPoint?! I would think one would have had enough of doing friggin' PowerPoint shit in classes for presentations. Biggest crapheap evar, that thing.

Oh, and if Powerpoint is so terrible (I admit it is annoying)....what do you suggest?

 

Windows Movie Maker can do a better job even if it's ridiculously unstable. There's been a few suggestions here, Picasa, etc

My band teacher is letting me use the band room Mac....HELLZ YEAH!

 

 

Now I just need people in my band to send me their photos...:dozey:

Hopefully all the "popular" chicks don't massively flood it with pics of just them and their friends or you'll be in a bad situation indeed. Did you take some?
