Mowing the Lawn

Featured Replies

Do you mow your own lawn or does someone else do it for you? Have you ever had any traumatic experiences while mowing? Do you even have a lawn? :P

I've been mowing our lawn lately, and it's ginormous. :freak: And I always have the worst experiences. :disappointed: Once I had the blades set at 1 inch (), once I was almost attacked by a turkey, I usually almost run over toads, and get bombarded by barn swallows. :P My favorite part is all the dog crap. I found three half digested socks in the lawn today.

I've had to mow my own lawn since end of middle school. Also on the weekend I mow a families yard (i've been doing that for like 6-7 years).

I had this one lady I mowed her lawn that wanted me to lift the lawn mower while it was running over a step. She was an idiot, and didn't care about my safety but that her lawn was done.

Lol, my mom's like that, except there have to be NO patchy spots.

Glad you weren't killed!

I have never mowed a lawn,

mainly because we don't have one.

That sucks.

I haaaated having to mow the lawn.

Really? I love it. It's how I get mah tan yo. :cool3:

haha! i'm glad i wasn't killed either

so glad i don't have to work for that lady ever again!

I just don't like smelling like gasoline.

Plus I used to live on a hill, so the lawn on each side of the house had a slope, and it was a real pain.

Luckily I don't have to mow where I live now.

That sucks.

We do have grass,

it's just on a hill and has bushes and plants and such on it.

( so my dad cuts the grass with the strimmers )

The only thing sucky about it is that i could never get a bouncy castle for my birthday </3

i love the smell of gasoline! i dunno why though

I don't have a gas powered mower... its electric. and for the people i do yardwork for it's a manual one... which can be annoying when there are thick patches.

We have a mini hill in our yard that's uber fun to go over.

Gasoline does smell good, though.

EMMA THATS SO SAD :bigcry: I had a pony for my birthday once. My dad hated him tho cuz he pooed all over teh yard.

This is the one reason that makes me not want to live in a house when I'm older.

Do you plan to live in a cardboard box? :uhoh2:

Here on Christmas Island, our lawns are made of snow and presents year round :charming:

Just kidding :P We have a huge lawn and it was a huge hill, but we hire people to mow it. And gasoline smells so good :wacky:

Ive had to mow the lawn since I was six. I lived in a house with one of those legendary aussie front and back yards.

I mow my front and back lawn, did so yesterday. Even use an RCD that trips at 30mA in case the cable gets damaged. Essential piece of kit if you enjoy living!

I used to own a house with 5 acres of land. 2 acres we kept mowed, the other 3 were woods. It would take me a whole day and during the summer I had to mow at least every week. If we got rain maybe every 5 days. I had a crappy riding mower that would break down almost every time. I hated that piece of shit! Then I bought a very nice one and it wasn't as bad. I had a crazy chicken that would chase behind the mower catching bugs. Then one day it jumped on and starting riding with me. It would jump off and catch bugs, then jump back on. My neighbor used to call their friends to come over and watch. :awesome:

Now I have an apartment so I don't have to mow any more. Don't miss the mowing or the heat, but I do miss that crazy chicken.

Lucky bastard, I wanted a pony as a kid.

^ I think every girl has wanted a pony at some point in their life. Myself included

I just remembered that I'm allergic to fresh cut grass.
