Half true. The profession, like the military, often attracts psychopaths. Cops are just people who were bullies in high school who didn't have anything better to do with their lives.

IMO most police officers are good people who are just trying to do the right thing. My parents are friends with some and they're really amazing. It depends on your own experiences with them I guess.

Nahh I'm friends with some as well. I'm not questioning their intentions; they're simply misguided. They feel that throwing people in jail for having the wrong type of vegetation in their pockets is what's best for society, and I disagree with that.
