Hamburgers vs. Hot Dogs

Featured Replies

Just shout PEN! at people, really scream it.

I'd say they'd give you one.

They would just think I'm mad:P

would you denied a mad person a pen?

Yes, because they might stab you with it!

That actually crossed my mind after i posted it :laugh4:

I actually thought you'd make a play on the saying the pen is mightier than the sword.

I'm quite disappointed if i'm honest :laugh4:

But there is no continent called "America." North America and South America are the continents.

I know the definition of a "continent" is rather arbitrary... But ever wonder what the 5 olympic rings stand for?

The Olympics considers them as one, but by no means are North America and South America one continent.

There are 6 continents. 7 if you include Antarctica. The olympics went with 5 because it's convenient and looks prettier.

But wouldn't it be just as pretty to add that single ring at the bottom, completing the inverted pyramid?

Number of continents

There are numerous ways of distinguishing the continents:

Models

Color-coded map showing the various continents. Similar shades exhibit areas that may be consolidated or subdivided.

7 continents: North America South America Antarctica Africa Europe Asia Australia

6 continents: North America South America Antarctica Africa Eurasia Australia

6 continents :America Antarctica Africa Europe Asia Australia

5 continents: America Antarctica Africa Eurasia Australia

4 continents: America Antarctica Afro-Eurasia Australia

The seven-continent model is usually taught in China and most English-speaking countries.

The six-continent combined-Eurasia model is preferred by the geographic community, Russia, the former states of the USSR, and Japan. The six-continent combined-America model is taught in Latin America, and most parts of Europe including Germany[citation needed], Greece[citation needed], Italy[citation needed], Portugal and Spain. This model may be taught to include only the five inhabited continents (excluding Antarctica)[20][21] — as depicted in the Olympic logo.[22]

The names Oceania or Australasia are sometimes used in place of Australia. For example, the Atlas of Canada names Oceania,[14] as does the model taught in Latin America and Iberia.[23][24]

It honestly depends. I like them both just fine, and I have times when I'd rather have one than the other.

Hot dogs sometimes make me nauseous, so hamburgers.

Awww, that's no fun.

Also, hot dogs take like 5 seconds to eat and they aren't all that filling which is funny because they cost more than hamburgers basically.

That's why you smother them in chili and cheese and all that other good stuff. Ixnay on the relish, though, because that doesn't belong anywhere.
