I like Conan O'Brien, and portuguese comedians I like are Ricardo Araujo Pereira, José Pedro Gomes (probably the best in stand up) and Nilton :lol: but is in portuguese

im watching zach galifianakis's live at the purple onion again! he's so hilarious!

I don't know the comedian you're referring to, but in that case then it's fair enough. If it's over a number of years, then yeah, but I don't know of any comedian that's tried to do that, because they wouldn't have an audience.

obviously several comedians are gonna keep their best material

you always gotta find a way to transition new material into your act

Well most comedians tour the same venues, each tour, each year, so they don't want to go back to the same venue a year later with the same material.

i could possibly pull off stand up but i hate repeating jokes

if i were on stage it would be random most of the time im up there

 

the biggest aspect obviously is believing that your joke is funny

if you dont even have confidence in your joke then the audience wont like it either
