August 17, 201015 yr peo is a fart - o.k. ...and thus drunks fart a lot? :laugh3: hasta means faster y/n? el culo is then ........
August 17, 201015 yr Baked is like stoned, right? Hammered, wasted, smoking a doobie.... That is correct. It's the only slang term I could think of, other than wasted, smashed and shit faced for being drunk. What about high as a kite? Is that slang?
August 17, 201015 yr peo is a fart - o.k. ...and thus drunks fart a lot? :laugh3: hasta means faster y/n? el culo is then ........ No, hasta means "up to" or "until", and c*lo = ass, but it's rather rude and colloquial, more than ass. I can't actually tell you why we call drunk people like that in this case. The literal meaning makes few sense. Oh and c*lo is also equal to asshole. Pot cookies? Apple pie.
August 17, 201015 yr ***** No, hasta means "up to" or "until", and c*lo = ass, but it's rather rude and colloquial, more than ass. I can't actually tell you why we call drunk people like that in this case. The literal meaning makes few sense. Oh and c*lo is also equal to asshole. Thanks Ricardo, I see! Hasta Manyana takes on a whole new meaning to me then! I can understand the connotation then for hasta c*lo, which might compare here to "drunk off their asses"... (but that might refer more to falling off a bar stool..:laugh3:) Apple pie.
August 17, 201015 yr lol Yup, the literal meaning of hasta mañana is until Tomorrow. And although it's less common, you can also use nos vemos mañana, just like in English See you tomorrow. However, most of the time, when you say nos vemos mañana it's more like you have planned to see another person to do a specific activity, while hasta mañana it's when you say it by routine.
August 17, 201015 yr Thanks for the clarification Ricardo. Hasta manana enjoy the slang, and I'll catch ya on the flip side.

August 17, 201015 yr Oh ******ED and BANJO'D - another one for being drunk. Still my favourite is BLITZED! 'Like a spare prick at a wedding' - that's a good one meaning totally useless or unwanted/out of place! As in Jim went to the board meeting and felt like a spare prick at a wedding.
August 18, 201015 yr hahaha in Kansas they say 'thong' instead of flip-flop, so it's so weird when you're talking to people from there who are like 'i broke a thong today' :laugh3: Same here in Aus! :laugh3: Anyone heard the term chuffed? Meaning delighted. I was chuffed to bits! Really well known term in Britain. Yep, as we get a lot of British tv here. Ok, so slang words in Australia: Drunk: Similar to the UK - Pissed, wasted, smashed, shit faced, hammered, plastered, off my head. Sexual intercourse: Rooting, shagging. Actually it reminds me of this - You know you're Australian if ......... When you hear that an American 'roots for his team' you wonder how often and with whom You understand that the phrase 'a group of women wearing black thongs' refers to footwear and may be less alluring than it sounds
