I mean, I love the attractions there (museums, Broadway, etc.) but I do not enjoy simply walking around the city. September 21, 201015 yr Montreal :p It's one of the greatest cities period. But if a passport is a problem, Boston. It's much better for exploring over a weekend than NYC. Have you looked into maybe trying youth hostels? If you're ok with the idea it would save a lot on hotel costs.

September 21, 201015 yr Each one is different, Nick, lots though have private baths, but you pay more. Hiking in the autumn in the Carolina`s is awesome too, but I would love to just travel up the coastline of New England. You have soo many choices !
