Were you going to force me?

yeahhhhhh duh!

So, is it best to wait till you know who you're making the mixtape for to start putting it together?

Can you check that person's profile to see what music they like?

(sorry if i sound dense, never done this before!)

^I usually try to get some ideas going before I find out my partner, but then, yes, once I know who I've got, I stalk their posts or last.fm to see what they prefer. :)

Well, you can do whatever you want! I think it's easier to make a mixtape when you know who's your partner, and, yes, you can check his/her profile/lastfm or everything else that can help you to know his/her musical tastes.

Anyway, I think the most important point is to put what YOU like.

Personally, I always have an idea of the artists I'll put in the mixtape before the matches are done and when I know who's my partner I work on it. But I don't really like "stalking" as I don't want to be too influenced. I only check if the person will know the artists or not to be as original as possible.

Here's my opinion! Hope it helped :)

I personally don't start thinking about it until after I find out who my partner is and do what I think is sufficient research. Then again, I'm rather technical when it comes to such things.

I usually make the mixtape first, and then when I find out who I'm making it for, I stalk their last.fm if they have one and replace any songs on the mixtape that they've already heard.

^ If I didn't feel like I stole so much music from here that everyone listened to, I might do that. :disappointed:

Yeah. I do what Kelsie does. I also spend a lot (too much) time trying to find songs that flow into each other well.

Same here! I've already starting gathering songs I want to put into my mix and right now, the general feel is pretty mellow/gloomy...I guess the bad weather here isn't helping... Have to find upbeat pieces or my partner will kill him/herself

Deadline for signing up is drawing near!~

^ Oh, you'll enjoy it! Trust me on this one. :D

*not taking part* :disappointed:

I just hope my person will like the mixtape, I just know bands that everyone already knows though :blank:

I've been listening to mainly trance and house music and things along that line. And Owl City related things. My mixtape would suck. :P

oh hey, 130000

you little spammer :cheesy:

:botoxlips:

^^ How would an Adam Young mixtape suck?

^Yeah :cheesy:

An Adam Young mixtape would be the best freaking mixtape of all time. :freak:

Anyone who puts any of his stuff on their mixtape I love you.

You just got My Regards and Disaster stuck in my head. They're both going at the same time. :|

I did that with my mixtapes so far, actually. I had Owl City's "Hot Air Balloon" for MTE 5 and Port Blue's "City of Safe Harbors" for MTE 6. :smug2:
