Charged my 1st generation iTouch ALL NIGHT, and this morning it tells me it has 10% battery left. It just died about a half an hour ago. I'm so incredibly frustrated, but at the same time really worried because I think it's dying. This isn't the first time it's acted odd.

That might be why. . . :\

Although 3 years really isn't that old.

Do you have the new OS?

My brother's had battery problems, apparently it's because with the new OS the wireless is ALWAYS on. Try turning it on flight mode and see if you have the same problem :nice:

Yeah, mine dies really quickly if I leave wifi turned on, even when I'm not using it, so that could be the problem.

Nearly 3 years old, probably it's a case of the classic Apple battery dying.

I had a second generation iPod Touch for two years before I sold it, and it always seemed to have a weak battery. I had to charge it every day :anxious:

Mine is dying too. :blank:

Just let it die. :disappointed:

Or change the battery.

It's pretty much the same thing with computer's and their computer batteries. After a certain date, the battery becomes useless. I would advise getting a replacing your battery. I do not own an iPod, but here goes a solution: take the battery out and feel it. If it feels swollen in any way, then you need a new battery.

Hope this helps!
