Anyone else a fan of the band?

 

I have listened to them a bit, but not too much but I like them.

 

 

I am making this thread because I wanted to post this link to a free download album of some home demos he's done w/ covers that was made known by pitchfork.

 

 

Since its inception, Deerhunter's blog has been a venue for frontman Bradford Cox to flex his generosity, giving away tons of free material from both his main band and his solo project, Atlas Sound. Today, Cox is offering Bedroom Databank Vol. 1, a collection of Atlas Sound tracks recorded at home between August and November of this year, as a gratis download. It includes covers of Kurt Vile's "Freak Train" and the Bob Dylan/the Band track "This Wheel's on Fire"; that's the zonked-out cover art above. I do like this band. Their (?) Walkabout collaboration with Panda Bear is awesome.

Bump. What did people end up thinking of the Bedroom volumes?

They were very good. Not as good as the real albums, obviously, but really nice to listen to in the background or whatever.

My plan was to meet Bradford at Laneways and tell him how great he is for uploading them but they had problems and he looked very unhappy so i didn't want to try find him. :(
