Cold/Flu remidies what are yours?

Featured Replies

I've been feeling shit for the last few days, blocked nose, cough and fever and I can't really manage to not sleep for long, has anyone got any helpful remidies other than drink lots of water and orange juice?.

Blow don't snort. Rub vicks on your chest.

Garlic. If you're hard enough make a drink out of crushed garlic.

To prevent future colds I best recomment echinacea tablets - take one a day with food. Help get rid of cold as well. They work great.

Oh and take a spoonful of honey for your throat.

hot tea

sleep

boiled eucalyptus leaves..... pretty sure i spelled that wrong.

if you feel the cold coming on early then lots of vitamin C orange juice, you can put a half lime and a few spoons of honey and drink that, dont add water just the lime and honey

use vicks vapor rub on your body

and take an immune boosing suppliment as part of your daily routine echinacea tablets , omega fish oil, flax seed, borage oil

Lots of orange juice and rest.

At least that's what I'm doing for bronchitis. . . also, stay home. Don't do anything that requires too much energy, otherwise you're never going to get better.

Oh, and hot tea with honey.

Water and Tylenol. :awesome:

Hot Toddies!

- Whisky

- hot water

- lemon juice

- some honey

Very tasty! Makes you sleepy and warm inside!

Here's a remedy: try NOT to get a freaking cold!

Some people are just, UGH!

Feel better strato :disappointed:

I was feeling the same yesterday just some Panadol Sinus and for blocked nose: Vibrocil!, hot tea with ginger and honey.

Thanks everyone:), I ventured out to stock up on plenty more fresh fruit today and some of the cold/flu relief tablets, still feeling pretty terrible but hopefully it will start to get better soon, I don't have a fever now.

Go see a doctor.

Is there much point though really?, because most people just say, oh it's a virus there's nothing you can do other than let it run its course.

I know, just people always say how important it is not to waste a Drs time, so going to them with Cold/Flu seemed a bad idea, if I don't feel any better by Friday morning I will make an appointment though:).

Yeah, don't wait two weeks until seeing a doctor when you have a cough, it may turn into asthmatic bronchitis. :|

That sounds nasty, I hope you feel better soon:).

Hydrastis tincture works good. Or Léo Désilets' s Resisthe tincture (my usual), it contains Hydrastis, echinacea and 6 other plants. I haven't had a cold in ages it helps. Other things that will help:

Green tea

Ginseng

Ginger

Mint
