I just wish people wouldn't be so close minded with Kanye, y'know? :\ He's done some pretty stupid things and he does seem a little stupid himself (:lol:) but I still think My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is one of the best, if not the best album released this year.

Well, I don't like rap but I guess it's not all about that? And of course I'll pick them, I saw them live and it was the best show i've ever been to, I'm sure even you would've enjoyed it.

The thing that's so great about this new album is that it IS unique. It's nothing like the hip hop that is on the charts right now. It's kind of like an Alternative Hip Hop album (at least that's what I think.)

Graduation has some absolute gems on it. Can't Tell me nothing and Flashing Lights are very much in the same vein as MBDTF and the chris martin collab is perfect. but it's the only kanye album where i skip a few tracks.

 

Late Registration is still his best effort to date.

If this album doesn't win any awards there is something seriously wrong with the world.

No I agree, you can definitely dislike the album just on the grounds that you don't like the music! But a lot of people in this thread/also some people I know irl are saying they hate it without having listened to it on the grounds that Kanye's a total douchebag, which he totally is, but yeah.

Not really no.

I voted for Kanye. While Gorillaz is my favorite band and Plastic Beach is an amazing album, My Dark Beautiful Twisted is hands down the best album of the year. Now if for some reason, this was Gorillaz' debut against MDBTF, then I'd have to pick Gorillaz, but that's the only time I'd choose them over MDBTF.
