OPEN or CLOSED?

Featured Replies

My mother's my dentist, so I don't really mind keeping my eyes open and looking into her eyes.

mine has tv's in the ceiling; let you watch whatever you'd like. but eyes shut if its novocaine time. :-/

Both, but more closed.

At my friends' dentist, they have these glasses that you wear and they play movies on them! :awesome:

Open. I try to stare into the lamp thing. :blank:

this.

open but i don't look at the lamp i try to stare at the ceiling instead:P

Great thread! Never thought about this before (Well of course except for when sitting in a dentists chair).

Mainly open, staring at the ceiling, closed at certain points, I do look at the lamp a bit, I don't really know why anyone would look at it all the time unless just to torture their eyes and distract from the drilling pain.

My current dentist has a pretty attractive assistant, and she has large breasts (Sorry to make the topic so distasteful but this is just what I go through) and during the boredom of getting your teeth looked at there is a temptation to look at her, and considering there's a huge lamp shining on your face and breasts a foot away from you, looking at them would be insanely obvious. If she's in my eyeline I sometimes tend to close my eyes.

Open. They have a TV in the room, so I just watch that. :awesome:

I'm going to request this, great idea. Put a TV in the eyeline of the patient.

^ Lolz, my dentist is old and smells weird. And if he was attractive I'd find it a bit weird that he's looking at my teeth.

That's funny, I thought of this last Tuesday.

I've been going to the dentist for 6 years now ;__; and one week he poked my eye and now I close my eyes.

I don't know why I didn't think about it before, I'm pretty sure he must find it akward to have the patient's eyes opened through the whole time.

Or he could be used to it, but I always feel like he might find it akward.

I feel a bit more relaxed with my eyes closed tho :uhoh:

Haha I didn't say it's not weird, it definitely is. But once you get relaxed you get bored, and yknow, boobs.

I keep my eyes open, but at the drilling part, I squint.

at times I try to stare at my dentist's eyes :wideeyed:
