well, I got presents now because it's kind op tradition here that you read a New Years letter(full of wishes and stuff) to your parents and godparents, after reading you got presents.

now that was when I was in primary school and now I only got a present :)

im gonna start to make a family tradition do give pressies on new years

Cool ! I didnt know it was tradition anywhere, but my Mum always used to give us money, then later gift cards- it was meant for us to use in all the after-Christmas clearance sales. Gotta love Mums huh :D We had to promise though to buys socks- saved us the embarrassment of getting them under the tree:embarrassed:
