Questions about B-Sides

Featured Replies

Do you think it's ok if bands experiment more on b-sides? For example, try completely different genres?

Do you think it's ok? Why or why not?

I happen to like many b-sides but I usually don't make a big fuss about those.

I guess I'm ok with bands trying new stuff as long as it's not a drastic, 100% change.

i like it when bands write a great instrumental and make it a b-side. here is one of my favourites

Yes this is what I was wondering! I found myself thinking lately that if I somehow formed a successful band I wouldn't know what to do with some of my songs because I like a lot of different genres so it would be hard to mesh all of them into an album.

another question: Do critics judge B-sides and how harshly?

I think that's fine.

And I don't think I've ever read a review of a b-side. :anxious:
