For all you Killers fans that didn't hear, Mr. Vannucci has made a solo album. :awesome:

 

He will be singing. Here's his website- so far we know that the album is done and it's being mixed and all that stuff. So I'm going to guess it'll either be out late this month or early April. :awesome:

 

If the mods think this should be with The Killers thread then you guys can merge it, but I thought it would get more recognition separately and also spam the Killers thread less. :awesome:

Mixing the rest of the record, juggling schedules (why it takes so long), getting a band together, decoding codes, doing push ups, trying to get the right hair-style, yada yada.

Flamingo wasn't amazing, but I thought it was an interesting, different style for Brandon.

 

Anyways, I don't think they'll break up (after all they're playing Lolla and another gig in Chile (?) soon), but it's kind of annoying me that they're taking so long to make another Killers album. :freak:

Of course, they're all doing their different things, and maybe they won't put as much effort on the new album, and it might end up all tasteless or something.

But, they've never made a disappointing album IMO, so who knows.

I really disliked Flamingo while I'm super excited about Ronnie's album, he's already beaten Brandon in my eyes by choosing a producer I love, Alan Moulder, against Stuart Price who I can't stand anymore.

But I admit I'm a bit biased cause he's my favourite killer :awesome:

Taking this opportunity to let you all know a few things, first, from yours truly, and not by way of some press mumbo jumbo..yet.

Here are the facts:

I've made a record. It's a rock and roll album. I'm calling it Big Talk. It's the band name. Also, Taylor Milne is an old friend of mine and he is in this band. He helped me make this bitch good and he's a hell of a guy, once you get to know him. Taylor plays lead guitar. I do the rest.

I've taken things into my own hands in other ways, too. I've started my own record label to put this album out on. I'm calling the label Little Oil. Since I know very little of how to successfully run a record label, I've teamed up with Epitaph Records to help. They're good folks who know good music, not just think they do; some of them even play music... Together, we'll make plans to get this truck out the front lawn and on the road.. Hopefully to a town near you. Yeah, hitting the road with this outfit as well. Pretty much got the band together and gearing up for rehearsals with maybe a few sneak attack shows here and there. If those shows go well, and I'm not busy writing with my real band, we'll keep touring and rockin' your faces.

Kept you bastards in the dark long enough and I'm sorry. Really. My hands were tied sorting out label particulars. Hope this clears the air a little.

I wanted to give you a song instead of more hot air, but that's coming, and coming soon. Stay tuned.. There's always a reason.
