Charlie Sheen: WINNING or LOSING

Featured Replies

So he's currently winning? Surely getting fired from a show where he got paid 1.8m an episode because of all this shit is losing. He's getting attention despite being unemployed, but surely being employed and making dozens of millions of dollars a year was a better position to be in.

he's an actor and actors are attention whores so he is getting wht he wants

i never even knew abt him but coz of his winning comment i like u have started looking him up on youtube

now i want to see him in something and believe me he will get results for the free publicity he's getting

oh and the studios can't say no to a really popular star

an interesting point was made on one of these news stations.

it's kind of disgusting how much coverage this loser is getting, yet stories of atrocities happening around the world barely ever get mentioned.

^ now I feel bad for posting this, but...

Charlie Sheen sets Ticketmaster record

Detroit, Chicago shows sellout in 18 minutes

Well, we've given him another reason to yell "Winning!"

According to entertainment website TMZ, Charlie Sheen has set a Ticketmaster record after his Detroit and Chicago shows sold out in just 18 minutes.

The mini-tour is being called "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option Show". According to celeb gossip guru Perez Hilton, the tour is expected to expand to another 20-30 cities which could include shows in Europe and even Australia.

Despite the negative attention surrounding the actor right now, some good is set to come out of the tour. Sheen's website says one dollar from every ticket sold will go to the American Red Cross to help victims of the Japan earthquake.

Irrespective of whether he's currently "winning" or "losing", it's only a matter of time before he self-destructs.:dozey:

You've got a point there, he's reading everywhere internet fanboys write "WINNING" and hailing him as their new personal hero/a legend, this is probably worth more to him then more millions for doing a really crappy show and during filming having to calm down and turn up for work like it's some form of normality. Now he has the freedom to do whatever the hell he wants.

As for this paying off financially, anyone who's seen his weekly show can see the novelty of his gimmick has been rinsed and raped of any entertainment so quickly that there's nothing left already. I couldn't bear to watch most of it because it's so cringeworthy, but flicked through different parts.

My bet- this one man show he's doing will get terrible reviews, it'll be very popular for 10 or so shows until it gets desperate, he'll clear be trying to find new ways of shocking people and getting headlines, it will go on for too long, and the ticket sales will die quickly until he's like a failed reality TV star.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just saw the local news and apparently his show is LOSING... Detroit was the first stop on his tour tonight, and people were walking out early and he was getting booed.

Ha. Now I'm glad I didn't get tickets.

I underestimated.

Apparently when people started booing, he said, "I already got your money, dude!"

:|

Why are peolpe so amused by the ramblings of a crack head?

If you want the hear some real winners, there are several living under the overpass near downtown Houston.

He's obviously winning tho when it comes to him being able to get more attention due to his current status and provoke people to watch him rant, etc.

but he has been a junkie ever since, and all the bs he's doing is getting old. he's losing in that sense. it may probably be impossible, but if the media doesn't care anymore, then that'll make him a loser.

I saw that!

So funny. :wacky:

I also don't get why people would actually see this guy live. It's basically just completely condoning his bad behaviour, and giving him more money when he already has enough.

Chicaga show:

"Sheen, known for his wild partying and rampant drug use, said he thought Detroit would be a good place to tell some stories about crack cocaine. The remark prompted loud, immediate boos."

Hahahaha! Fucking moron. Only a few hundred remained from the 3,600 that showed up and the whole show only lasted an hour, disastrous. Not quite enough consistent booing to have to leave the stage, so improvement? You know you are desperate when you have to consider NOT getting boo'ed off stage as WINNING.

Throughout the show apparently he desperately tried to bond with the audience, creating some weird kind of rivalry between Chicago and Detroit, saying things like "Don't be fucking Detroit" and "Let's show those trolls in Detroit how it's done!" but the few enthusiastic reactions seemed to be out of pity more then anything. The Q&A section again got the worst reaction, the reason he was booed off in Detroit as because he dismissed so many questions as 'lame' and laughed them off, looking for the rest of the crowd to LOL@QUESTIONASKER with him but he just got an increasingly sterile response of confusion, which turned to anger. This time the Q&A was much shorter, and again he proceeded to dismiss questions as if they aren't good enough for him to answer, but unlike a standup comedian he does not have the wit and intelligence to do so in a creative and funny manner, just resorts to sarcasm like "GREAT question bro! Next! *silence*", which is why he shouldn't be on a stage.

I wonder if at the end of the 20-city tour he's going to be like "Don't be like fucking... every other city in America :freak:". I'll be amazed if it makes it that far, but with such an egomaniac you never know, part of me wouldn't mind because it is an example of false fame and worship getting it's comeuppance, and the people who bought the tickets must feel very stupid.

wow...

he's too much of an egomaniac and a crazy person to even realize how much of a mockery he's making of himself

It isn't funny any more.

As soon as he started posing with Tiger Blood beer and bullshit like that it was obvious he was semi-in on the joke that he's become. I don't wanna watch a guy have a breakdown but know about it. I want a proper breakdown. Boooooo!

After initially watching all things Sheen, I never thought I'd get sick of it, then Sheen's Korner happened, and I struggled to watch a lot of it, but THAT shit is beyond viewable.

he got booed off for his first show , how did the 2nd show go ?

Apparently much better. He changed the format a bit so he wouldn't get booed.

Standing ovation, I heard from the folks in Chicago?
