Who has been the greatest frontman ever?

hard one

as I have to believe my mum about Robert Smith

and then my love for Editors and Coldplay

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck I can't choose

In terms of energy and sheer stage presence, definitely Freddie Mercury. His iconic Live Aid performance is enough proof in itself.;)

It's obviously Freddie Mercury, why is there even a vote

edit: He's winning by 58.23% :wacky:

It's clearly Freddie Mercury bros. No contest!

If we're thinking just modern day though, I would say Julian Casablancas. But as for all time greatest, no one can ever beat Freddie Mercury.

Agreed, Freddie will always wear this banner !

Though much below him for me, he is followed by Steven Tyler, David Lee Roth, and lastly Rob Thomas.

Bowie or Morrissey.

I guess you could also have Jack White up there if you want an entertainer, Jimi Hendrix, Iggy Pop cutting himself onstage would have been interesting to say the least, or even Jim Morrison. Oh and Ian Curtis for emotional honesty in a performance.

All better than Mercury, although whilst I dislike Queen I can see why he's winning and have no qualms with it.

Liam Gallagher?

Voted Guy Garvey, but John Lennon was close.

Just because you don't like Oasis doesn't mean you can dismiss the suggestion. He's a fool but he's there because he's iconic.

As for best frontman? Freddie Mercury clearly is up there but also Bono and Morrissey were both equally sublime and unique as front men.

It's beyond that, trust me.

I'd probably settle for Morrissey as well.

John Lennon.
