Airplane Music

Featured Replies

My iPod just broke, and I've got a few longish flights coming up this weekend, so I'm borrowing my friend's old iPod. It has no music on it at the moment.

QUICK. Name the best albums you can think of for a long flight. You know...stuff that makes you want to explore, go on an adventure, etc. Looking to listen to some new stuff that I haven't heard before.

Kid A

OK Computer

Abbey Road

The White Album

Riceboy Sleeps-Jonsi & Alex

off the top of my head...

Andrew Bird - Noble Beast

Little Joy - Little Joy

The Books - The Way Out

Mum - Yesterday was Dramatic, Today was Ok

Sigur Ros - Hvarf-heim

Helios - Eingya

Brian Eno - Ambient 1: music for airports :P

Beach Fossils - Beach Fossils

Le Loup - Family

Local Natives - Gorilla Mannor

Mùm - Finally We Are No One

Neon Indian - Psychic Chasms

Patrick Watson - Close To Paradise

Real Estate - Reality (EP)

I hope you don't already know those. I think they would be adequate :).

I like listening to Peter Gabriel or Kate Bush (especially Us and Hounds Of Love) when I'm up in the air. Not a big fan of flying.
