Math

Calculus is so easy though.

Hated geometry, definitely the worst.

Algebra 2 was my favorite by far.

I remember thinking trig was somewhat difficult in high school, but I just took it again last semester and it was insanely easy.

^ I'd have to agree. Calculus was easier than Geometry. I hated proofs.

I've done Calculus without even knowing it, wut

Why do you say that? What were your "bad experiences" with Math?

My inability to do math screwed up my chances at a scholarship that would have given me a free ride to the college I'm going to.

It's funny how everyone hates geometry, but that's the only thing I was ever good at. :|

I always used to cheat on my geometry exams, I just didn't understand it. Same goes for physics and chemistry. Then again everyone at my school did it.

Proofs? If what you mean by proofs is questions like "Prove that this equation is equal to this equation", no, I don't love it at all.

No, proofs as in "Show your work, then explain using theorems and postulates how you got there!"

I remember drawing flagpoles and stick figures and kites and trees or anything. fun times.

but I bet you are still studying at a good university, huh

same. But not for physics tho, I loved it

during seat works, we would go and ask a classmate for some "help" or "exchange of ideas" :smartass2:

I wish I could do math. I think it's beautiful and amazing, and I really want to learn how to do it..but I can't. I had 3 math tests, and I studied the hardest I could for them all...and I failed. all of them. yay.

That's how I feel. I like the idea of manipulating numbers, getting answers, blah blah blah, but I just. Can't. Do. It. :|

I think I got like a 54 in Geometry this year. I don't know if everyone was taught 'proofs' but I could not comprehend nor memorize them. I just hated the class so much I stopped trying. My teacher liked me though so I got a C. :blank:

I love Statistics and Algebra.

I am going to find out about Algebra 2 this year and Calculus...I don't know, do you take it in college or high school?

/haha nobody cares

Depends on the school, but from what I can tell calc is usually taught in high school, then again in college if you're doing a major that requires a lot of math (like engineering, for example)

Here in Canada most faculties have to take a full year of Math (which is calculus), except like arts.

It's funny how everyone hates geometry, but that's the only thing I was ever good at. :|

Same here. :|

Ah. Well I just finished 8th grade (hahaha etc.) and we had math as high as Calculus and an AP class offered, but there were only 3 or 4 students in each class; the school was flexible enough to make a class for whatever their level was. I'm sure this is different in high school though.

I'm a year ahead in math which confuses me because I'm not that great at math and I'm a complete slacker.

And I'm not sure if anyone can hate math really, it's about the approach to it and how it was taught to you. I've had my fair share of good and shit teachers and they changed my opinion of math in general.

HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA I GOT 51% ON MY MATH EXAM AND 67% IN THE COURSE THIS SEMESTER :|

/was always the person who had teachers bragging about her math skills to other classes and teachers and stuff

Did I mention I hate pre-cal?

This is very true...I think it depends on your teacher a lot in how well you learn the subject. Bad teacher=hate the class cause you can't pass the tests. :shifty: I had a really great Calculus teacher this year though and he's had a 100% pass rate in the last three years for his AP Calculus students which makes me nervous as heck to see my score in July. I really hope I passed!

Maths is awesome. Some people hate it, but I really like it; it has so many cool theories and stuff (LIKE FRACTALS ) that really appeal to me :)

And come on. Who doesn't like pi?

e is like a phoenix rising from its own ashes, I mean, how frickin' cool is that

Dude I got a 12% on a take-home test once because I was too lazy to do it. :blank:
