Reilly: About the menu on the side....

I'd rather have it at the top of the website, if thats ok with you?

I already have a "placeholder" for my links at the top of the home page.

Another thing, how can I correct the look of the *front* page (not the home page)?

Yeah, side menu or bar across the top, that's fine, the main thing is that it's clear. When there's more content perhaps there could be additional features on the side.

The rectangular boxes with curved corners just look messy (Though not as messy as squiggly lines) especially as the border is so thick looking, design something sharper, more concise. Even look at this page and imagine the colours more applicable to yours to give you an idea.

ANOTHER update was made... I am phasing out the round edged rectangles and making regular rectangles. Also working on the front page and the problem with the top bar.

I am trying to find an alternative to my top bar now... it isn't working.

The website is temporarily down.

(EDIT [5 min. later]: The sites back up!)

Poll results so far: 75% of voters say my website could use improvement. (I agree.)

Well done much better than what I can do !

First impressions:

Ditch the into screens. There's a reason that they're no longer as prevalent than they used to be - people want their content quick and snappy.

The text seems a bit big. While yes it must be clear to read it also needs to not be so big as to make the site need a lot of scrolling to see stuff.

I would have liked the idea of rounded edges a bit better personally but anyway

Yes, eventually the color scheme will need to be changed as it's a bit garish right now.

Also good to hear you're working on a new navigation bar.

Psst... when posting dates and times for an event, remember to add the timezone!

Mainly this

but also I don't know if you've seen, but most websites that are successful/have a lot of people visiting them, usually have 2 columns on the left and right of the page free, so that the content is all centered and in the middle. I'm probably crap at explaining that, so here's a few examples XD

(The Orange website with the two columns on the left and right of the main block of info)

So yeah, hopefully you get what I mean with that.

Even the official Coldplay website does it a little bit :P

Like maybe try to centre the stuff on the page, leaving some columns too XD

^I agree because I have to or else I get beat

Maybe it was the bright white rectangular box and really thick borders but it looked kinda childlike before, it's more toned down on this page:

I don't like to have to log into a website in order to see it. Make it more user friendly to get into.

Good ideas everyone. I am having some problems though. Can anyone who has experience recommend me a chat box.... having a bit of a problem with crappy looking chat boxes. I was really hoping I could get this Twitter live chat system working.... I have the live feed working but having problems with the tweet box. I can't find a good source for one any where and I am having problems building my own. Look here: http://dev.twitter.com

Can anyone help?

Karencorpse: I think you might be clicking the wrong button... the login in button leads to a test page for me and some select others to view and test the website with out ruining the user experience... try clicking the "Click On Me : D" button next time... for now.

Actually (just updated): I liked the idea of removing the index page so I did.... it goes right to the home page now.

(EDIT: This update is because of what Cobalt said. Thanks for the idea Cobalt.)

It still looks weird to me.. instead of home, you should put the title of the website.

Destrokk: I'll try and change that...

While you are at my "Live" page (ColdCast)... please press the pause button.... I guess the auto-play feature isn't working right now.

(Nevermind, it was just a one time error. It's working)
