I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread about this until now.

Personally I think she's guilty of first degree murder. However I'm not sure if the whole "beyond a reasonable doubt" thing will get past the jury. Although after hearing the prosecution's closing arguments, it may be more likely that the jury can come back with guilty on all counts.

I agree!!! Just watching her in the courtroom, makes me just wanna ring her neck.

This happened about 12 mins. away from my house, and everyone here in cent. florida are just sick and tired of it all, and this last week people even have signs out and have shoe polished their cars with "Guilty" "NO justice for Casey", stuff like this.

Can someone summarize this whole thing for me?

It's one of a thousand murder trials going on now in a country of 310 million people, but this woman named Nancy Grace (a perpetually outraged idiot who has a TV show on CNN) latched onto this particular trial because the victim was a sweet innocent little white girl. Her ratings exploded and the case is now a national topic of discussion.

The girl was likely killed by her mother, a young stupid woman who blamed her parents (grandparents of victim) for the murder. They found the girl's body buried in the same location as her hamsters, and with a heart-sticker on her lips (just like she buried the hamsters when they died). They also discovered "breaking neck" and "chloroform" in the Google search history of the mother's laptop. Very suspicious to say the least.

Thou hath hit the nail on the head.

I think the term "tot mom" will forever exist because of Nancy Grace.

Nancy Grace is a moron as well as all the other people on that station

/scarred by my mom watching that channel

^ hey now wait a minute, I like Robin Meade (and the weather dude with her in the morning)

I just know of Nancy Grace and that other woman (i can't remember her name) who looks similar to her and always has a mean face.

but back to the trail... from what my mom has said about it and what has been shown i think it's really terrible she's thrown her father under the bus to save herself.

I've been following this since 2008. I hope she rots. She is a human stain.

Nancy Grace

Casey Anthony is guilty of first degree murder. Anything less is injustice for Caylee.

I haven't really been following this except for what I hear on the news, but IMO she's guilty.

Didnt they also find some sort of evidence in her car too?

Anyway, this woman is sick and cruel and doesn't deserve another day free in her life.

Oh, man. My mom has been obsessed with the Casey Anthony case from the very beginning. She's had the trial on everyday for the past 30-something days it's been going on. Needless to say, because of that, I've been following it, too.

José Baez is the worst defense attorney I have ever seen. I understand he hasn't been a lawyer that long, but some of the mistakes he made are just common sense. He's just...wow. I can't even describe it. Dorothy Clay-Sims isn't any better. To be frank, she came off as a dingbat. Chaney (sp?) Mason seems to be the only lawyer on that defense team with a solid head on his shoulders.

As far as the prosecution goes, all I can say is Jeff Ashton is a beast at cross-examination. He's goooood.

My mom had the firm belief long before the trial even started that Casey is as guilty as sin. Honestly, she annoys me sometimes with how much she talks about this trial and how awful a human being Casey is. While I don't think some of the evidence is as solid as I wanted it to be, in this particular case, common sense just kinda takes over. If your child really died by drowning in your swimming pool, there's no reason for it to have gotten this way. There was no reason to hide it for 31 days, then act like she was really kidnapped by some person that doesn't even really exist, then tell your parents while they visit you in prison that you feel she's still alive. There's no need for it to be that way. Dr. G. made the excellent point during her testimony that in all drowning cases she has ever covered-that's 100%, mind you-the parents/guardians IMMEDIATELY called 911. Every last one of them. Given what I've heard, I'm convinced she killed Caylee.

He seems like a sleezy used car salesman.

And the thing that I never understood, if that was true wouldn't there be traces of chlorine in her lungs? I don't recall that ever being mentioned in the trial (although maybe it was and I just didn't hear about it).

^ Probably the degree of the charges. I think it's clear that she lied to police, so she will be guilty on all four counts. As far as the charges related to Caylee's death, they need to determine whether she's not guilty (doubt it), if it qualifies as first degree murder, second degree murder, manslaughter, etc. There are different thresholds that must be met.

Oh yeah, didn't think of that.

I hope it doesn't take them too long, I want this case to just go away. . . it's been in the media for way too long, just let it rest already. :\

Her body had already been skeletonized by that point, so there weren't any lungs to examine for chlorine.

HOLY FUCK NOT GUILTY OF MURDER, CHILD ABUSE, OR MANSLAUGHTER WHAT THE *#$&!)(#!$*_%
