  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

Well, as I see the pic, I can't deny he's a Yorke. He's like a younger twin of Thom !

Anyway I don't think ill ever be able to listen to his work, 'cause at this time, France loves bullshit, so there's no chance for his album to be released here.

what award did he win then?! Mayb the sexiest singer award? :P

not The Eraser. Arctic Monkeys have just been awarded with the Nationwide Mercury Prize. Thom Yorke was nominated for his 'The Eraser'. However Thom Yorke did a live performance of Analyse on the award show, broadcast on BBC4. But more on that later...

Well he did of course... Anoter way he wouldn't hold a prize in his hand :idea2:

His grin in the end of the video is almost as great as his perfect voice.

Actually the Arctic Monkeys won. I think the award he held was the one given out for being nominated.

The grin was great. I got a laugh out of glare he gave the people still talking at the start of the vid... if I was one of them I think I would have been scared out of my wits- that look could've burnt a hole through a wall.

Yeah it reminds me of my school teachers staring at me when I was chatting in the classroom !

Yeah well I don't really care if he won or not... I mean, the competition where Arctic Monkeys win doesn't bother me much :freak:

And yeah that glare was fucking great, those people probably felt like they're students and he's a teacher or anything like that... But meh, if I was there I'd be quiet as a mouse... How dare they talking when he's on the stage already?.. :crown:

I was listening to the BBC when the ceremony was happening (couldn't watch it- I live in the wrong country  ) and radio 2 intervied all of the nominees afterwards... Thom said that there was a group of record executive types at the back who wouldn't shut up... they were being really rude and talking through people's performances, especially that jazz pianist's and that the look was meant for them.

I'd bury those fuckers alive :nice:

Hmm I'm looking for Towering Above the Rest but almost all the links in the multimedia section have expired... I've got discs 12' date=' 16, 23 and 24 and I'm looking for the rest. If anyone's got them it would be great. :) [/quote']

cough? :surprised: :(

True, all nominees got an Award.

The winner got a 'winners' Award I think + 20,000 quid.

'Analyse' will be the 2nd single from The Eraser.

Release date: October 9 (according to BBC Radio 2)

i loved the mercury prize program.....thom was so funny, and of course he sounded beautiful playing analyse, didn't expect him to win though.

and analyse will be the next single :stunned: thanks for telling us

somethin' has been buggin me for most of the last week :(

you know how listening to some kind of music puts you in some in the category of behaving you like the music "asks" you to. well..i'm going to atease froum for a week now, and i can't help myself but i'm constantly going under a disagreements with the members there, not cus of the different opinions, but cus of the basic way of culture..for example..last week someone said arpeggi reminds him of coldplay, and the first reply he got is that he's a pure IDIOT. i don't remember ever seeing that kind of words on this board no matter what a specific person would said (unless there was a totally heathen situation). it0s just rude. i'll continue..i thought to myself, ok this is just a rude person..lets go on, but all the other comments were really insulting to the original poster and to me cus i snapped when they called him an idiot. anyway..i won't and cannot accept the fact that certain patchwork goes for listening certain music, not even the "official" patchwork but the one that a person who listens to that music thinks it looks like. you get me?

the attitude on that board is: you have to be worth it to listen to rh, no coldplay and similar stuff. and i think to myself..for god sake..is this really the way rh wanted for it's fans to live?

yea i dont understand why alot of people on atease are quite mouthy and sarcastic to each other...they don't really listen to each other, well thats the impression i get from going there a few times.

yeah. you have to think about every single word you say there if you don't want to be slapped. it's awful. and that's the site that represents the rh fans, for a minute there..i don't think i want to be a part of it. it's really bad.

hmm i go there sometimes....this forum is probably the nicest i been to,the official coldplay forum has some mouthly people...but i have been there ages so i kinda not bothered about what i say around them anymore as i am a regular like them

no it seems like all the fine ppl that enjoy pure music and don't want to fit in any category some music may put them in, come to non official boards (with the atease as exception). this board has really fine ppl. i'm learning to appriciate it more and more cus of these kind of cases.

no wonder i'm here for almost a year.
