Jonny Greenwood indulges his passion for reggae music by compiling his favorite tracks onto one album, Jonny Greenwood is the Controller.

Coming out on March 6th, 2007, this one of a kind collection digs deep into rich Jamaican sounds and styles covering soul, roots and dub.

As a fervent fan of reggae music, Greenwood collaborated with Trojan Records to pull recordings from the extensive legendary catalog. After 6 months of endless listening, he narrowed down his choices to 17 crucial tracks of essential reggae listening. The set features renowned vocalists, musicians and producers including Desmond Dekker, Lee Perry, Gregory Isaacs, Sly & Robbie, King Tubby, Scientist and many others.

This set is the latest in Trojan’s artist choice jukebox series which includes collections from DJ Spooky and Don Letts, and the upcoming March 20 release from Lee Perry.

2007 marks the 40th anniversary of Trojan Records.

  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

Ohhh' date=' I see...That makes sense!You seem to be a Radiohead specialist!Thank you again![/quote']

oh i'm not. :embarassed: Nik is.

jonny wasn't into reggae much until they offered him, it seems.

Why do you think that?

YES! My friend was about to buy a Radiohead biography today but I told her to get Amnesiac first. I mean, that SO is the essential album. It's one of my favourite albums ever and now she did buy it. :D

Why do you think that?

he said it himself.

But that doesnt make much sense does it?

Uh, I don't like Jonny anyway.

Which is probably a strange thing to say as a Radiohead fan...

I mean, I admire his work but, uh, hard to explain.

he said it in DAS post, he listened to nothing else but reggae for half of the year and then did theis compilation as a shower what got him into it.

why don't you like jonny? he's one hell of music genius with amazing ass and the rest of the body.

Amnesiac is their worst

I'd kill for Life in a Glass House or Pyramid Song :shy:

So no, it's far not the worst.

imo pyramid song is the worst from album, like spinning plates is hilarious

I don't care much for his ass, he's got amazing hair though. I don't know. This is just like explaining why I don't like Gwyneth Paltrow because both times it's sort of unjustified. And I DO love Jonnys guitarparts...

Spinning Plates is beautiful.
with amazing ass and the rest of the body.

:laugh4: well that's reason enough apparently

and amnesiac worse? hmm i might of thought this a few months ago...but now i regard it as one of my favs...but then again i find strong points in each album from them.

:laugh4: well that's reason enough apparently

Hmm..I like pyramid song and like spinning plates, but the rest of the album is not really brilliant though, My fav at the moment is HTTT, I listen to it the most lately.

Amnesiac is the most underrated Radiohead album.

if it comes before Kid A or now as the 7th LP, it would get completely another criticism...

and i'm not even talking about the b-sides... Amnesiac has the best Radiohead b-sides (Kinetic, Fog, ASOO, Cuttooth, Worrywort, TAD, even the extended version of LIAGH is absolutely top stuff)

I think Amnesiac must be the only thing i'm missing

...i'll have to DL at some point! Sounds brilliant from what you're all saying!

Fog might be my favorite Radiohead B-Side; not really a fan of the other Amnesiac stuff though.

Amnesiac is beautiful. Pyramid song, I might be wrong, You and Whose Army are all brilliant songs! How can anyone not like it?
