• Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

it airs on Palladia on July 23rd.

My preferences of TKoL versus FTB for the tracks are as follows:

Bloom - FTB

Morning Mr Magpie - TKoL

Little By Little - TKoL

Feral - FTB

Lotus Flower - TKoL

Codex - FTB

Give Up The Ghost - FTB

Separator - TKoL (barely)

Feral was excellent; and I think I could actually make out a few words.

I was really disappointed with Little by Little. I didn't like how they slowed the tempo a bit, it made the effort seem kind of... I don't know, lazy? It just seemed sloppy.

I was kind of hoping that Thom would do GUTG completely by himself like I've seen in a couple of videos (pounding the mic with his hand to add to the vox loop for the beat). But I still like the FTB version more than TKoL.

Staircase was good. Daily Mail was excellent, I think it's a great song; I hope they play that live (assuming there's a tour, of course).

And it's a good thing that Colin doesn't sing, because when he was chatting it sounded like he had a cold.

Ha ha to the "WiiGi".

All of this, basically. :) In general I loved FTB from beginning to end and I think all the songs sounded great, especially Bloom, Feral, Separator, Codex and GUTG.

Cheers!

3rd remix single announced. Seperator, Feral, Magpie.

t’s raining Radiohead vinyl lately. The second remix single isn’t out yet, but the third one is already announced.

The first vinyl single of Radiohead’s album The King Of Limbs included remixes of Little By Little (Caribou rmx) and Lotus Flower (Jacques Greene rmx) and was released on July 4th. Out tomorrow: the second vinyl of this four part series includes Morning Mr. Magpie, remixed by Nathan Fake, as well as remixes of Bloom by Mark Pritchard. And slated for release in two weeks: Feral (Lone RMX) / Morning Mr Magpie (Pearson Sound Scavenger RMX) / Separator (Four Tet RMX).

Excited for the Four Tet remix since his are always the best.

WAsn't I supposed to be able to spend more money on Radiohead today?

Nathan Fake one was my favourite. he's cool. no jacques greene though

Agreed.

Does Jacques Greene have any albums or mixtapes out? I want to listen to more.

???

The link shows Magpie and 2 versions of Bloom.

So there will be another separate remix vinyl with Separator, Feral and (another) Magpie?

edit: What's the best way (if any) to rip audio from YouTube? I want to with this while it is still available... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcKt_MWC1kk]‪Radiohead- The Daily Mail (Live from the Basement, Audio only)‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

Not quite the video I was hoping he'd post, but nice to have it nonetheless

DAS:

"Just so you know, we're planning to put this series together on CD at the end."

Frankly, I think I'll just wait for that instead of buying the WAV files separately.

I just googled Youtube to mp3, and clicked on the first link to convert. Just finished syncing it to my ipod!

Ah okay, that worked. I'm just always afraid I'll get a virus with sites like that, but it appears I picked a safe one. :nice:

I've put in a request with that Adrian Lee guy to see if he'll do a cover...

There will be a 3rd single. They kind of put one out and release the info for another at the same time.

I probably won't bother buying the cd since I should have them all on vinyl by that point.

Third? Was there a second single that I am unaware of

Edit: or are you talking about the remixes, because I don't care about those.

Agreed.
