Radiohead

Am I evil for not wanting to buy the remix vinyls? I'll probably buy the wav files, but I'm just kind of blah about the vinyls.

  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

You're not evil because of that. If you don't plan to play them and if you aren't a collector, there's no need to buy them really. Although I can't say I understand collectors :freak:

I didn't buy the remixes on vinyl... too expensive. If I really loved the songs then I'd buy it (like Supercollider/The Butcher), but these remixes are not good enough that I want to dish out like $20 for 2 songs. So I bought the WAV version of it

Hmm, looking forward to the EP! I wonder what that means for Radiohead. Hopefully it doesn't mean they'll tour later because of Phil.

I haven't listened to his prior work. Is it good? What kind of "genre" would you classify it as?

It's kind of folk-y. Haven't listened to Familial a great deal but the music is still nice to listen to.

/bad fan

I haven't listened to the whole Familial too. :/ But some songs I've heard are not so bad. Kind of acoustic / folk / soft rock songs maybe? I'll give 'Running Blind' a listen though. :)

I haven't bothered to listen to any Familial. :uhoh:

UR CRAZY.

I prefer these remixes to, uh, most of tkol :uhoh: :uhoh: :uhoh:

:inquisitive:

I enjoy the remixes, but am not an overall huge fan. To me they're in the middle of the road when it comes to RH remixes.

I agree with Eddie. Little by Little remix is so much more enjoyable than the original, and I don't think I need to say how incredibly amazing that Jacques Greene remix turned out.

edit: About Familial meh, it's not bad but I don't enjoy acoustic songs that much in general.

YEP UR INSANE

the Jacques Greene remix has got to be one of the best songs of the year. My favourite Radiohead remix, too.

LOL MIKE, LISTEN TO TIESTO'S REMIX. Maybe you'll appeciate the new remixes more after that.

link?

I haven't even listened to the remixes yet. :|

Even if I didn't like the remixes that much I would buy it since I am now addicted to collecting vinyl. Especially limited ed. stuff.

Just as an FYI, I've been checking the cable listings for the FTB performance (it is supposed to air on Palladia). The only thing that pops up on any of the channels is a 2006 VFest performance in a few days, and the 'Scott Tenorman' episode of South Park on the 19th. So it looks like the earliest it will air is the 20th.

Hey, Part II. Maybe I can actually become a regular part of this thread now. I felt a tad lost in the original one because I wasn't as frequent of a poster in there, and you guys post so much in here.

LOL.

^ How is it with all that dancing / bouncing / seizing throughout the years, his pants have never fallen down onstage?

One of the great mysteries of life.

Wow, I never thought of that. Good question.

:awesome:

edit: to make this post somewhat relevant, I'm going to let you all know that I got Hail to the Thief and I didn't like a single song off of it. :|

On the other hand, In Rainbows has grown on me and I find TKoL perfect for trying to get to sleep. (don't mean that in a nasty way, it just works haha)

HAHAHAHA, HOW PUNNY. :|

...You didn't like HTTT at all? D: That's my favorite. </3 Oh well. More for me.

I just listened to the album opener. I really liked it. You should check it out.

I tend to dislike/hate remixes, so I probably won't even bother.
