No Audio Output Device is Installed

Featured Replies

From one second to another the audio of my laptop wasn't working anymore.

Maybe I accidentally pressed some weird keyboard combination when i cleaned it up from the red wine i spilled over it?

My audio is gone. I m dying without music. :(

How can I change this again? Do I need to reinstall some driver? And where to get the correct driver?

I already restored my windows 7 and tried the troubleshooter but it didn't change a thing. I am lost. And I am a noob as well - I have no clue about computers

Yay my sound is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what I did do to the system but it's back. Maybe those updates did help a bit :D

And I thought I had to buy a new laptop to not miss anything when we come closer to the end of October :p

Always keep in mind: red wine is not good for your hardware^^

Edit: one restart later.. the sound is gone again :dozey:

Where are the speakers located and where did you spill the wine...

the red wine did not affect the speakers. they are located in front of the laptop. the red wine mainly just spilled over the keyboard..

in the meantime my keyboard didn't work as well but to my surprise the sound was back. i opened this crappy dell laptop about 4 times to have a look on the inside. it took me like 5 hours to find out that i just forgot to plug the keyboard before closing the case of the laptop again. it was very difficult to plug the keyboard because there is absolutely no space left for my big hands and i don't have proper tools for that so it took me another 2 hours or so.. i could have needed small fingers which i don't have^^

for now everything seems to be okay again. :sweatdrop:

4/5 year old Dell laptop, now that's a rarity. Dells normally last 3 years as they are designed for the high turnover of businesses

But I can raise you on old laptops, I've got a 13 year old Toshiba downstairs

I have a Toshiba laptop with Realtek sound. I got the same msg that "No Audio device was found" so I simply went into my Control Panel, switched to Classic View, and opened the Device Manager.
