September 13, 201114 yr ^ Well I wouldn't say that, because they're an English band so it would be pretty weird if the lyrics only made sense in Dutch... If you want that, listen to Mooie Ellebogen :P And I once more point out that as a teenager most people would not use the term 'life goes on, it gets heavy' unless being ironic. Honestly. What if it were for example the girl's parents that told her that? Or, what if it's meant to be ironic? Like she's thinking 'Okay I know, life goes on it gets so heavy blah blah blah, but still one day I'll be happy.' (I don't really like the lyrics either, but when there's discussion, apparently there is some depth to them. ;))
September 13, 201114 yr Stating the obvious. The whole song is like a tweet or a status update on facebook. this comment is pure gold :D :D
September 13, 201114 yr ^^ Nah, that's not what I meant. I know Coldplay are English :P I just wanted to say that Dutchies might find it easier to be okay with that part of the lyrics.
September 13, 201114 yr Author Exactly, if hes writing from the perspective of a young girl then what the hell do you expect??? an eloquent monologue of wisdom????? The lengths of some peoples simple mindedness is quite shocking. :inquisitive: lol, it's funny, because I'm a young girl and I'm pretty sure that I have always had enough of a grasp on the English language to come up with shit better than "life goes on; it gets so heavy".

September 13, 201114 yr Who even says "it gets so heavy" anymore. wtf? Who ever says "don't you shiver" or counts demons on their shoulders? They're lyrics, whether they suck or rock you can't call them stupid because people wouldn't say them casually in conversation...
