September 16, 201114 yr Honestly, the albums under Jacknife Lee's production are quite mediocre. This includes the Snow Patrol album you mentioned. Despite not liking the recent direction of Coldplay, I would much rather keep Brian Eno
September 16, 201114 yr Isn't it a little early to be thinking about LP6, seeing as though there is still a month until Mylo Xyloto is released?

September 16, 201114 yr Jacknife Lee's a very average producer, and Snow Patrol are an average Coldplay. I'm with Parrotdies on this. Something orchestral would be lovely. I've said before, I want Coldplay to release an In Rainbows. And that includes a Bodysnatchers-type tune :P
September 16, 201114 yr Jacknife Lee's a very average producer, and Snow Patrol are an average Coldplay. you are only 19 , what would you know ? :laugh3:
September 16, 201114 yr You keep promoting Jacknife Lee's credentials as a producer but what album is he associated with that's any good? Trust me, I looked and they're all quite average. His best work is probably on REM's Collapse into Now and that's a mediocre album. Meanwhile, Nigel Godrich was producer of Pavement's Terror Twilight and Beck's Sea Change for example. And we all know his work with Radiohead....

September 16, 201114 yr ......you just named two incredibly mediocre albums from two mediocre bands. While I can go in depth about why the albums you listed are distinctly average, I'll just let the press do the talking: An End Has a Start (Metascore of 65) - "These 10 songs repeatedly strike the same dynamic and evoke the same vague drama, each sounding more perfunctory--and more soulless--than the previous." A Weekend in the City (Metascore of 65) - "They play things way too safe... which makes for a rather boring listening experience" ....these are the two albums indicative of Jacknife Lee's greatest work? This is the producer you want for Coldplay's next effort? Really? (Although thank you for providing these examples because now it's starting to become clear what type of music you listen to and the musical styles you prefer)
September 16, 201114 yr The latest Snow Patrol album and the other two mentioned are above are listenable, but quite boring. Trust me, I am 21. That's 2 years older than 19. So I'm right.
September 16, 201114 yr Trust me, I am 21. That's 2 years older than 19. So I'm right. :laugh3: Great answer! Btw, I do agree with your post about the Snow Patrol/Editors/Bloc Party albums - not the worst music in the world but very boring

While I can go in depth about why the albums you listed are distinctly average, I'll just let the press do the talking

September 16, 201114 yr Shut the door on your way out. on my way out ? i've started this thread, YOU should get out of it.
September 16, 201114 yr on my way out ? i've started this thread, YOU should get out of it. You should get off the forum. You can't cope when someone disagrees with you, you're borderline insulting, and you haven't got a clue what you're talking about. But don't worry, I won't be commenting in this again. Oh, and by the way, when you made the comment about me being 19, I'm a musician myself, a pianist and string-arranger and I know quite a fair bit technically about music. You made yourself look pretty silly.
September 16, 201114 yr welll the whole album isn;t out yet and there are songs to listen but i agrre that brian eno deserves to die and LP6 should be made only by coldplay

You made yourself look pretty silly. Yeah, sure. I don't know what i'm talking about. And you know everything, little kid. :laugh3: You are annoying and boring. I made myself look pretty silly ? Uh, you are pretty silly.
September 16, 201114 yr welll the whole album isn;t out yet and there are songs to listen but i agrre that brian eno deserves to die and LP6 should be made only by coldplay :stunned: I don't think anyone's said that. You can dislike his work all you want but to say someone "deserves to die"? I'm guessing this isn't your proudest moment....
September 17, 201114 yr Holy Mozes! :stunned: Glad Nangolan got banned. Calling 19 year olds 'little kids' ... seems a bit childish. I don't want to speculate about LP6 yet ... we don't know anything about it yet and we haven't heard LP5 yet :S
