HERMAN CAIN GETS 2ND PLACE IN POLL

Just an example of the insane bias in American news. I thought our non-American friends would get a kick out of this.

Ron Paul makes Republicans uncomfortable because he points out how utterly insane they are for supporting endless multi-trillion dollar wars and the elimination of individual rights. And then to top it all off, he outdoes them all when it comes to tax cuts - he actually proposes the complete elimination of the income tax.

Of course, they'll likely choose Cain (a former Federal Reserve president) or Romney (corporatist shill). Ideally the economic collapse will happen before either of these buffoons is elected, but even then Americans will probably rush to the nearest "occupy Wall Street" protest and completely ignore the Federal Reserve and government spending.

Why would you ever want an economic collapse?

Because it will end the global fiat monetary system that's impoverishing us.

Central banks create economic discoordination by artificially changing interest rates, which creates recessions and depressions. Inflation is a regressive tax that mostly hurts the poor and middle classes.

So ironically, an economic collapse would result in a massive increase in the quality of life for your average Joe. Suddenly all those trillions of dollars the government prints to give to banks and the military industrial complex would be held by the people again, except this time in the form of gold or some other tradable commodity rather than paper Federal Reserve notes.

Oh yes, I get a massive kick out of this. What's actually the percentage of people using Fox News as a main source of ...uhm...'information'?

Fox is the most-watched news channel in the US, and I think their peak viewing hours are between 2 and 3 million people.

So only 1% of the total population, praise Allah. But that's still a lot.

Also, demographics studies show that Fox has the oldest viewers - generally around 65 years old. So the commercials are all for various drugs and retirement homes and that sort of thing.

Has the "fun" of the US elections started again?

My guess is that the Republicans will win, regardless whom they put up, even a cat would beat Obama

Really? :( Because people don't realise he hasn't been able to do much of what he promised because he's been too busy cleaing Bush's mess?

Let's not kid ourselves - Obama's creating his own mess

I don't know. To be honest the front runners (well the ones that the media loves) I don't know who will win because they're all bad

I find I kind of funny in some sense when thy talk about bush. I'm not saying he was good or trying to defend how he started to fuck up this country but fiscally he was more like a democrat with the amount of money he spent.

People should listen to Ron Paul. He has been saying how our current track will lead to worse things and from his previous track record of what he's said over the last few years it's been true

The fascinating thing about Obama is how easily he could have gone down in history as a great president, yet he didn't do it.

He could have fulfilled his promise to bring the troops home.

He could have cut taxes.

He could have announced an end to bailouts.

He could have ended the failed "war on drugs".

And he could have done all this before lunch on his first day in office. Instead he did the opposite of everything listed here. He totally blew it.

LOL right now for me the advertisement on the top of the page is for Ron Paul and the ad in the middle of the page is for Herman Cain.

Anywho I just wish more people would wake up and realize that their views are actually classified as libertarian. People are so close-minded as to label themselves as one of only two options, democrat or republican. "News" shows like Fox are so quick to essentially label Ron Paul as the crazy dude that throws himself into the mix; he would get so much more support if people took just 2 minutes to compare their personal values/beliefs to those of the libertarian stance versus democrat/republican.

But I think since it's so divided between two parties that Paul has to call himself a Republican to get any sort of coverage or popularity enough to get into an election.

I really can't believe how dumb so much of this country is. I mean I really feel that if common Americans just took the time to listen to what Ron Paul is saying it's just kind of common sense!

Also you have these tea-party candidates trying to take these stances about limited government and we have to stop spending when Ron Paul has been talking about these things for years, way before the tea-party even formed.

I know he won't win because the system is corrupt and people are too dumb and ignorant to listen which is really disappointing because he is the only politican running that I think has any sort of common sense.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.”

― Alexis de Tocqueville
