Acoustic versions of songs

Featured Replies

Would there be any point? Or are the songs good the way they are? (and of course, acoustic songs, are already acoustic, like UFO?)

Personally, I wouldn't mind listening to CB, or HLH in acoustic form.

(man, I must suck at starting interesting threads too)

I'd love to hear acoustic versions, but since I haven't heard the album I can't decide which ones I would like to hear the most

I was surprised how many of those songs were written to be acoustic ones when it was revealed.

Did not really think that Paradise and Charlie Brown were written in the time when they planned to record a stripped-down album...

I'm sure we will hear live acoustic versions with just Chris on the piano. He did a few of those for VLV promotions after the album dropped.

So yeah, stay tuned.

i'm sure we will hear acoustic versions of the singles - definitely ETIAW, CB - maybe paradise. POC may be tough w/ all the fx and what not. but HLH could work acoustically - it reminds me of an Arcade Fire-esque song.

I would love to hear acoustic version of Paradise and ETIAW!

How many official acoustic versions did we get with Viva?

I remember Lost? and Lovers In Japan. I know Chris played Viva La Vida at the apple thing on just piano, and LiT II on some French (?) show on just the piano. They also did Strawberry Swing during their I heart Radio gig (the stripped down one).

I think you've got them all!

And we got a piano version of The Hardest Part on LRLRL, otherwise I think that's all of them.

As for acoustic songs this era, I'd like to hear a simple piano version of Paradise and Hurts Like Heaven (and maybe PoC, although I'm not sure it would work too well).
