I've heard of their name, but haven't heard any of their songs yet. I'll download "One Armed Scissor" now.

Yeh, i've Got That Album and some Promo stuff by them...That Album Is one of my favourite heavy(ish) albums of all time..

I'm a huge fan of ATDI. I agree that Relationship of Command is their best album. The lyrics and riffs are simply out of this world and full of energy! Too bad they broke up...

 

I can't get into the Mars Volta (what's left of ATDI) though. I think i need to give that album another listen.

ATDI kicked ass. then they formed two bands so that one half could play boring, uninspired jock rock (sparta), and the other half could play boring, self-indulgent prog-rock (the mars volta). man i wish they would get back together, but that's never going to happen.

 

when i first got the mars volta album i thought it was great, but it wore out it's welcome really fast, and then i saw them live, and they were awful.

 

anyway, let's all remember back when at the drive in was ready to take over the world.
